From handmade cakes to homity pie the food is warming, filling and wholesome.
Whilst it isn’t all about the coffee let me just divulge the source of their beans - they source their coffee from Wadebridge, where it is hand roasted for a deep and delicious taste. So, you can now smugly sup your morning espresso or afternoon cappuccino with a simply stunning view of the sea.
Hole Foods Deli & Café was opened to showcase the brilliant artisan food producers and suppliers in Cornwall, and because of a passion for cooking homemade fodder for hungry tummies. From handmade cakes to homity pie the food is warming, filling and wholesome.
The café focuses on seasonal foods, summertime sees a plethora of delicious treats such as mackerel with salsa verde, fish chowder, lamb & cider casserole and sweet potato & beetroot gratin. The guys also work with the weather – so whether it is scorching hot and you opt for a fig and mascarpone ice cream or chilly and you tuck into Vikki’s pork & cider cobbler with giant savoury scone, the lovely team are perfectly accommodating.
Alongside the artisan Cornish goodies there are some continental products – in fact there is a lot packed into the tiny shop! If you’re looking for something particular (it often happens when using Ottolenghi over Delia in the recipe selection stakes) then simply ask. They will do their best to hunt it down for you.
Find a variety of quiches, scotch eggs, pasties, cakes and more which are baked freshly in house every day and sumptuous sangers are made up to order in the shop. Perfect for a picnic on the beach, or a satiating snack on a long walk to Lamorna Cove.
