Tucked away in the rolling countryside near Totnes, this fantastic farm shop and cafe is the ideal spot to pick up the best in local produce, from the well-stocked butcher and a plethora of local cheeses to fabulous local ales and traditional bottled ciders.
We stumbled across this little treasure whilst on an exploratory trip of this beautiful part of the country - think emerald green rolling hills, swathes of woodland and gorgeous idyllic villages - and having heard of Riverford (it's previous name before becoming Ben's Farm Shop) we quickly popped in.
As you would imagine there's fruit and veg aplenty, plus a huge variety of dairy goods from unctuous golden cream to the crumbliest of cheeses. The butcher is a meat-lovers paradise, and its pork goods particularly well renowned.
You can easily do a full shop here, so make sure you pick up a basket or two and give yourself plenty of time to explore the aisles.
