Listen to the pull of the waves over pebbles, breathe in the salt on the breeze through the trees, stroll to The Anchor Inn on the water's edge on a warm evening or for lunch after a bracing walk to Dorset's iconic landmark, Golden Cap, high above the hamlet of Seatown - this luxury cottage embraces all these, in a setting that is just moments from the breathtaking Jurassic Coast.
Gentle colours of the sea and cliffs flow through this stunningly renovated barn that's nestled next to historic Seatown Farmhouse (the farmhouse is empty when The Beach House is let). Every detail speaks of subtle luxury and the most welcoming of grand designs. Reversed level to make the most of the views, the zoned open plan living space will delight with its designer kitchen, dining area, relaxed living area and floor to ceiling glass doors that fold back from a Juliet balcony of reinforced glass which draws in the sights, sounds and scents of the sea.
A stylish space oozing glamour - sociable holiday cooking doesn't get better than this! Set along one wall of the living space, the layout is chic and easy complementing the large farmhouse table that invites lazy breakfast get-togethers and rumpus evening dinners. Fully equipped with all the top mod cons including an induction hob and a dishwasher to make life easy, every evening will be a celebration in this house. Alternatively, stroll along to The Anchor Inn where their award-winning menu awaits you. Settle in for a delicious meal washed down with a bottle of fantastic wine and great sea views, all just a few minutes' walk from the house.
All found on the ground floor with thick grey and white striped carpets leading from bedroom to bedroom, each one with luxurious bed linens and mattresses - one tranquil double bedroom with kingsize bed and gorgeous en suite with a superb shower, a tremendous twin bedroom and a top quality bunk bedroom with fabulous 3' bunks fit for adults too.
The family bathroom has a fresh contemporary feel with a bath and hand-shower attachment, easy to use for a quick refresh after a stint on the beach ahead of a long soak at the end of the day. The en suite has a delicious separate shower and both rooms have towel rails to keep your towels nice and toasty. You will find cotton spa gowns and slippers with your towels to wander around in.
The beautiful gardens of the old farmhouse are dedicated just for you, so whip up a Pimms and laze on the deck that wraps around the old farmhouse - the super-size sun beds will keep you glued to the spot for hours! Later on fire up the barbecue - set in its own area well away from the thatched roofs! - a beautiful spot that slopes gently downhill to the stream that bounds the cottage.
You can park right next to The Beach House as there is off-road parking and a gated driveway for two cars. Friends joining you for the day can use the little coastal car park, a pebble's throw away.
