For the seekers of country living magic and luxury living moments, uncover our historic, 16th century cottage, set in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside near Bourton-on-the-Water. Welcoming up to six guests and one dog with a charming wood burning stove and an idyllic, south-facing courtyard garden, our limestone dream seamlessly blends luxurious, pale-toned interiors with existing characterful touches, from rustic ceiling beams to quintessential mullion windows. Tucked away in the sweet village of Little Rissington, Dovecote is a wonderful retreat for couples and families alike looking to uncover the never-ending enchantment of the Cotswolds, from Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold, to Cirencester and beyond - honey-hued heaven awaits in all seasons...


Lower occupancy discount

A special lower occupancy rate applies outside of peak times. At Dovecote, the discount for up to four guests is 10% and at this rate, all rooms in the main house will be available for you. The annex will be excluded.

Living

Evoking endless calm with soothing neutral shades and a subtle layering of natural textures, the exquisite sitting room is a sumptuous space to reset. Resting centre stage is the gorgeous inglenook fireplace, complete with a wood burning stove for cosy evenings spent fireside, whilst a twin set of cream, three seat sofas offer a space to relax in Boutique style. For entertainment you'll find a Smart TV with subscriptions to Netflix, Disney+, along with a Bose sound system to play your staycation soundtrack.


Eating

From original flagstone flooring, stylish quartz worktops and handmade, porcelain tiles - the dreamy pairing of historic features and contemporary influences ensures Dovecote's kitchen is an enchanting setting to craft and dine with loved ones. Culinary artists and blooming chefs will adore this breath-taking space, complete with all the essentials including a fan oven, electric hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a Nespresso coffee machine.

For feasts of any occasion, there is a pretty wooden dining table with six, oatmeal chesterfield dining chairs, along with a cushioned window seat for those who'd prefer to gaze over Cotswolds country scenes with a morning latte in hand.

You'll also find a washer/dryer can be found in the back hallway.


Sleeping and bathing

There are three exquisite bedrooms to choose from at Dovecote.

Simply delightful with unique, exposed stone windows and quirky beams is the master bedroom, with a king-sized bed draped in soft, neutral linens. To store your belongings, you'll find a large shelving space, along with two wooden bedside tables. Just next door is the stunning en suite shower room, designed with teal hues throughout. There is also a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.

Endlessly romantic with a gorgeously rustic, wooden hanging space and a black iron king-sized four-poster bed by The White Company. Alongside the darling window seat, there are two milkmaid-style bedside tables and plenty of hanging space.

For refreshing wake-ups, just next door, you'll find a beautiful white-brick and teal shower room. In a self-contained annex with a sweet, stable door, the third bedroom is a divine space filled with natural light, promising blissful slumbers after days spent roaming the dreamy villages of the Cotswolds. Here you'll find a double bed and two bedside tables, and an occasional stool. Additionally, this room benefits from an elegant en suite with a shower.

All beds come swathed in 500 thread count White Company Egyptian cotton bedding and anti-allergy pillow to ensure a blissful night's sleep. For additional moments of pampering, each bathroom comes complete with Elemis toiletries and fluffy white robes.


Outdoor space

Whether you're indulging in a glass of wine under the stars or seeking the charm of early morning birdsong, the outdoor space at Dovecote is a calming haven. Enchanting and cosy, the small, south facing courtyard garden is a dreamy spot to unwind and indulge in sun-kissed alfresco moments, complete with four wooden seats and an outdoor coffee table.


Babies and children

Babies and children are most welcome at Dovecote. A travel cot with mattress, highchair, and a baby gate can be provided on request.


Parking

There is private, off-road parking for two cars in the barn yard, best suited for one large car and one smaller car. Additional parking can be found in the village, just a short walk away.


Dogs

One dog is welcome to stay at Dovecote. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds in the gorgeous Little Rissington, a quiet village setting brimming with golden limestone cottages, Dovecote is perfectly placed to explore the infamous, chocolate-box scenes of the Cotswolds. Seek a wholesome, small-town atmosphere at nearby Bourton-on-the-Water, a darling village promising picturesque streets and endless array of boutiques, eclectic antique stores and quintessentially English tearooms, alongside the Cotswold Motor Museum, Model Village and the Cotswold Perfumery. Amongst the crooked rooftops and cobbled lanes of the hillside town of Burford await a range of fine eateries, including The Bull, a former coaching inn-turned-cosmopolitan eatery, where you can opt for sushi at Japanese-inspired Hiro, or Wild, where you can dine amongst the works of world-renowned artists like Basquiat and Banksy. A stone's throw away reside the villages of Stow-on-the-Wold and postcard-pretty Broadway, whilst the beautiful farm shop and deli Daylesford Organic is only 10 minutes' drive through stunning Cotswolds countryside. For those who prefer more bustling scenes, Cheltenham and Cirencester are less than half an hour away by car.
