In the Area
Being in the midst of the Cotswolds, there is plenty to do in the area. For garden-lovers, you're just up the road from lovely Batsford Arboretum, whilst history-lovers might like the eccentric Snowshill Manor, home to an incredible collection of artefacts obtained by just one man - the collection is so huge, he had to move out of the manor and moved in above the garage! Sudeley Castle, home of the surviving queen of Henry VIII, is a must too in nearby Winchcombe. Of course, nothing beats just exploring the lovely villages and towns in the area - Morton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway,Winchcombe and Chipping Campden are just a few of the lovely villages well worth a visit. You'll find gorgeous tea rooms, pubs a-plenty and quirky little shops to fulfil any pangs for shopping, whilst nearby Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon or Cirencester are perfect for bigger shops. Cirencester also has a great museum about the history of the town, back to when it was an important Roman settlement.
