Tralalalala – Sparkling Christmas Fairs in Cornwall

So you’re enjoying a pre-Christmas break, but you’ve still got that nagging feeling that you should be ticking a few presents off of your list. Well, these Christmas markets, festivals and celebrations are well worth a visit – offering gifts which are locally made, handcrafted and something unique.  We recommend doing this with a glass of mulled wine in one hand and a mince pie in the other.......

Featuring a number of local stallholders from across the county, all kinds of treats will be on offer including products and presents grown or made in Cornwall. If you’re a foodie, you’ll particularly enjoy the array of locally-grown produce on offer, as well as the mouth-watering aromas of food being served hot and fresh for you to devour in the cold winter air.

Falmouth’s Festive Weekend is set for Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th December this year, with the event’s main attractions and activities open between 11am and 6pm each day. One of the best Christmas festivals in the county, the fayre will host a huge variety of fun things to see and do including a land train, ice rink, ‘snowy’ scenes, fairground rides, an enormous snow globe and lots of festive food and gift stalls. Best for unique gifts:

Cornwall Christmas Fair, Eden Project, 10th – 11th November 2021

The much-anticipated Cornwall Christmas Fair will be hosted in the iconic Eden Project, as annual celebrations get underway after a year’s hiatus. A great place to go for that unique gift you’d never find on the high street, you can expect a range of crafts and home accessories, sustainable clothing and jewellery. As no Christmas festival would be complete without food, there will also be a dribble-worthy array of the highest quality produce in the Food Hall. For added fun, don’t forget to check out the Eden ice rink, open from October 2021 to February 2022.

Best for a traditional Cornish Christmas experience:

Fowey Christmas Market, 26th – 28th November 2021

The gorgeous seaside town of Fowey will light up with Christmas cheer over the weekend of 26th – 28th November 2021. There will be plenty of stalls (including 80 regional traders), goodies to eat, a Victorian market and local choirs singing their hearts out. The unique, independent shops which line the narrow streets will be open late, so you can bag yourself a Christmas present or two as well. A great family-friendly event that all generations will enjoy, the whole family will be able to celebrate in style in the run up to Christmas in Fowey.
