Extra precautions at your retreat
Amended changeover hours
Our normal changeover cleans are already rigorous. However, we have extended our arrival and departure times to ensure our housekeepers have plenty of time to be extra vigilant - please refer to your check in guide for details. We kindly ask guests to be mindful of the housekeeping teams and adhere to these arrival/departure times. Please note, whilst every effort has been made to ensure the best hygiene standards in pre-visit cleans, guests visit at their own risk.
Pared-back furnishings
As much as we love to adorn our beautiful retreats with additional touches such as throws and scatter cushions, it is with great regret that some of our owners may have decided to remove these items for the time being. This may also include lifestyle magazines, books, DVDs and toys.
A subtle welcome
Usually, our owners love to leave a welcome hamper for your arrival. However, you may find that the number of items in the welcome hamper has been reduced given the current circumstances.
Useful tips on how to prepare before you travel
Be mindful before you travel
If you or any member of your party start to develop symptoms of Covid-19 before your holiday, it is vital that you contact us right away to let us know. Please contact us on 01872 553 491 or 07764 961 696. You must not travel on holiday if you are showing any symptoms. We will help advise on the next steps. You can find more details by visiting the NHS information page on symptoms here.
Shop at home
We would highly recommend your initial supermarket shop is organised at home, so you can bring all the groceries needed for the first few days of your stay at least. This means you can relax as soon as you arrive at your retreat! Please be mindful of the vulnerable members of our community, who need to access the local supermarkets’ online delivery slots.
Food box delivery
Make the most of fresh, locally sourced produce with a food box delivered directly to you retreat. We recommend The Cornish Food Box Company; they deliver all over the country and have a delectable selection of great British produce.
Order in
Restaurants, pubs, and cafes across the UK have adapted their service to provide take away for all your beloved cuisines, so you can fine dine in the luxury of your retreat. We would advise to do a little research now, so you can plan those special nights in and pre-book reservations for dining out.
During your stay
Talk to us
Please let us know as soon as possible if you develop symptoms of Covid-19, at any point during your stay - we are here to help. If any member of the party develops Covid-19 infection symptoms, they must take a test in accordance with government guidelines and if the test is positive, the guest needs to return home as soon as possible to isolate, the guest cannot self isolate at the property.
Linen care
You may find a linen and towel bag left for your use by the housekeeping team, so that you can bag these items at the end of your stay. We appreciate this isn't the norm, but during such exceptional times this will ensure the safety of our housekeepers and owners.
If a mid-stay linen change has been arranged, you may find the housekeeper would prefer to leave clean linen and towels at the door of the property, and take away the bagged, utilised linen, rather than entering the property.
Social distancing
We are thrilled to welcome you for your holiday and we hope you have a wonderful time; we would just kindly ask you to be mindful of the current social distancing guidelines during your stay, both in your retreat and when exploring the local area.
Please do let us know if you have any questions at all. Most importantly, we hope you have a truly magical stay with us! Let the countdown begin...
With very best wishes,
The Boutique Retreats Team
