Sam’s in Fowey has quite a reputation. An excellent one that is! Established in 1988 by the lovely Sam Sixton this is a burger joint with attitude. By far and away making the best burgers in Cornwall, the roguish crew at Sam’s have atmosphere in spades.

When staying in one of our luxury retreats in Fowey you simply must visit Sam's. Enter the restaurant to and be immersed in punk rock music culture with memorabilia on the walls and pink leather booth style seating, the interiors are super cool. Designed by Sam’s partner in crime, Emma, the stylish commitment to all things cool is incredible.
On to the food. The burgers are incredible. Samburger Deluxe - amazing, Scooby Burger again immense and The Beast; the ultimate monster burger topped with all the sides and almost the kitchen sink. I haven’t witnessed anyone actually finish The Beast… however I have heard rumours of those that have! The menu also features great fish dishes with more chalked up on the specials list. Sourced locally from Fowey find big shellfish paellas, lobsters and crab all waiting to be devoured.
The music is awesome, great tunes are playing as you eat creating a funtime ambience making this place a destination to hang out with pals as well as family.
Be prepared for a wait during the summer. You can’t book in to Sam’s (this is deliberate and really does make the whole atmosphere, you’ll see why when you get there…) so grab a beer or cocktail and relax whilst you wait for your booth.
