The Lewinnick Lodge is perched seductively on the cliff-top of Pentire headland. It therefore boasts an astonishingly beautiful panoramic sea view from its restaurant and bar – and when the weather is playing ball – the terrace lets you taste the salty sea spray whilst sipping cocktails.

So what to eat… The restaurant is headed up by Executive Head Chef Rich Humphries – a truly lovely guy who has a real passion for serving delicious food. Breakfast is a very good shout with some of the most delicious butter with honeycomb on sticky waffles I have tasted. A decadent lunch of crispy squid is also a winner!
Produce is all sourced locally, and the menus are generally tailored to make the most of what is on offer seasonally. The crew at the Lewinnick specialist in seafood – uber fresh, the daily menu for fish changes twice daily depending on the catch. If it is available and you want to nod towards ‘healthy’ (and even if you’re not and are totally embracing the elasticated waistband) go for the lobster salad – it is the taste of the Cornish seaside on a plate. Chase it up with ice-cream and voila!
