The Halzephron Inn, Gunwalloe

The Halzephron Inn, Gunwalloe

Despite the peace and tranquillity on offer, the imposing Cornish cliffs are nearby. The Inn was built around 500 years ago and is steeped in smuggling history, with the unforgiving coastline claiming many shipwrecks through the years…

The Halzephron Inn has an award-winning reputation for the freshest real Cornish food with a menu that changes on a daily basis, and it’s worth fitting in a visit if coming to check out The Lizard. Head to Church Cove (keeping going past Halzephron until the road ends) after lunch for a cliff top stroll. There are also more tables in the courtyard and beer garden which overlook rolling fields and countryside. Inside there are a number of dining areas including cosy nooks, a lively bar area, a separate dining room and a self contained family room.
