Set within 40 acres of its own land, Tarr Farm Inn is located just above Tarr Steps and close to the River Barle, just 7 miles from Dulverton. It’s very much a hotspot for country-loving folks, and all the sports that go with it, and the menu definitely reflects this – think Devon Red Ruby beef, Exmoor lamb and local venison and game, plus fresh fish brought over the border from Cornwall.
Whether you’re stopping for coffee, afternoon tea, lunch or dinner this is an idyllic spot. Lunch is an informal affair, with dogs and families more than welcome, whilst dinners are generally more formal with an extensive wine list. There’s a lovely terrace which has great views - perfect for a lazy afternoon tea before continuing on your way.
