Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle has a rich history dating back to 914 AD and has suffered its fair share of misfortune; attacked in 1264, besieged in 1642 and damaged by fire in 1871. However, it’s endured over the years and is now tip-top attraction. From the tallest turrets to the deepest (and scariest) dungeons, you’ll need a whole day to explore this wonderful heritage site.

Inside the castle, you’ll find beautifully restored rooms, chock-full of history, just waiting to be discovered. Outside, there’s a host of daily events such as a bird of prey display, 64 acres of landscaped gardens, a fab maze and the largest recreated siege machine in the world – the Trebuchet.

Of course, there’s plenty of shops and places to eat too. In busier times of the year there will be medieval tents erected in the grounds selling different things such as children’s wooden swords.
