Alternatively, Longleat Safari Park, Stonehenge, Bridport and the gorgeous Jurassic coast are a short distance away. Just two of you? In the far east of Somerset, close to the Wiltshire border in the up-and-coming town of Frome, you’ll find glamorous, award-winning Pemberley, our chic Georgian retreat for eight. Spread across three stories, this stunning property is incredibly spacious and stylish, with a super-chic, modern garden. Frome, voted by The Times as one of the ‘Best Places to Live in Britain’, is a vibrant, bustling town and home to a fabulous monthly artisan market – The Frome Independent Market – which takes place on the first Sunday of the month from March to December.

In the heart of nearby Bruton you’ll find Ropewalk Cottage, an ancient, characterful property sleeping four, although a ‘just for two’ 20% discount applies outside of peak seasons. Moving inland and to the west, Exmoor is a fascinating area to explore with woodland, moorland, valleys and rivers to explore. Home to 10 Brushford, an 18th century dog-friendly cottage for two, it’s a great tucked-away spot for a romantic getaway.
Ending at the coast, you’ll find a rugged, Jurassic coastline with distant view of Wales and the Black Mountains – The Quantock Hide, our Himalayan-inspired retreat for four tucked amongst the hills of the Quantocks.
The Hide is the perfect pad to explore this wild-yet-beautiful area. With moors and woodland on your doorstep, this is a fabulous retreat for walkers and it Is extremely dog friendly too.
