Pennywell Farm boasts a wide range of farm animals. Come and see their popular Pennywell Miniature Piglets which have been specially bred on the farm and lots of their small furry pets such as rabbits, mice and guinea pigs. There are also plenty of ponies, donkeys, ferrets, hedgehogs, tortoises and the two loveable alpacas Tommy and Tigger to say hello to as you walk around this lovely farmland.
However, this is not just your usual animal attraction because at Pennywell Farm you can really get involved with these well-loved animals; taking part in daily activities from bottle feeding baby goats to egg collecting to the attraction’s famous pig cuddling sessions! You can also watch the ferret and miniature pig races every afternoon, cheering on your new favourite furry friend.
As well as visiting the animals, your ticket also grants you access to the four rides available at Pennywell. There is the Red Rocket (perfect for all ages – even adults!), the Rainbow Railway, the Run Rabbit Go Carts and the Tractor and Trailer Ride which takes you through the scenic and pretty farmland, allowing you to see views across the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park.
When you need a breather from this fun-packed farm, there are a variety of spots to choose from to relax, have a spot of lunch and enjoy the view. You can sit inside or outside Henny Penny’s Café, a converted barn with a warm and rustic feel, serving hot and cold lunches as well as Devon Cream Teas. Throughout the site, you can also find smaller establishments such as The Coffee Cabin, Noah’s Barn and Piglets Ice Cream Parlour – perfect for those just wanting to grab a quick snack and hot drink on the go.
