Parcelled between the South Downs and the English Channel, Worthing is embraced on all sides by captivating scenery. With its reputation as being a laidback part of the world, visitors have ample opportunity to sit back and explore in equal doses. Home to the ancient Titnore woodlands, the famous Goring Gap, rolling countryside, the Cissbury Ring and of course, its beaches, you can walk, cycle or trek through beautiful and diverse landscapes. Just remember to pack a picnic!
In particular, the area is a real haven for bike-lovers. Home to many cycle routes around the town and along the prom, the whole family can join in together. For a bit more of a challenge, the impressive South Downs Way stretches for 160km from Winchester to Eastbourne offering spectacular views as you go. Of course the trail, looked after by the National Trust, also includes shorter routes that are a little easier on the legs.
