Boasting a championship 6,733-yard golf course, the course has been designed in two separate halves and is dissected by a large, wooded hill area. Challenging golfers to perform a wide range of shots, each hole invites a test of patience and skill. If you are feeling a little rusty, worry not. There is a practice area with net and putting green for you to polish your swing before setting off.
To make sure you are up to speed before you go, there are certain guidelines and dress codes in place that can be viewed online or advised over the phone. There are also slightly different routes for both men and women on the golf course itself, with men playing from the yellow tees and ladies from the red.

If you plan on heading to the Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club, visitors from near and far are welcome seven days a week from 8am, with a slight exception on Sundays when the first tee is from 10am. Book in advance to guarantee your spot, then pop into the golf shop on arrival. Once there, you can hire buggies and trolleys, although again, this can be done in advance. Treat yourself to a cup of hot tea from the restaurant and then head off to secure ‘the better ball’.
To round off your game nicely, you can look forward to tasty food and refreshing drink in the dining room. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, you can reward your efforts with your favourite meal and enjoy the spectacular setting of this 300 year old house.
