Taking over twenty years to complete, this magnificent manor came to life in the early twentieth century and everything was done by hand using local stone, local timber and local craftsmen. Still being privately owned, this house has managed to stay true to the Arts and Crafts ideals for over a hundred years. The house is open to visitors throughout the year so you can drench yourself in the rich history and culture of this distinctive building. In addition to its enchanting manor, Rodmarton also boasts eight acres of gorgeous Cotswold gardens. Though pretty all year around, the gardens are a must-see in the Summer when the herbaceous borders, kitchen garden and abundance of roses are in full bloom. But not to fret if you’re not staying during the warmer months as you can witness the sea of snowdrops, of which there are over 150 different sorts, from October to March.
