A family-run business just outside of Fordingbridge, Arniss Equestrian gives both experienced riders and complete beginners the chance to get up close and personal with their friendly horses and ponies and the opportunity to ride one of these lovely creatures through the New Forest. Catering to all riders as young as four, you can enjoy a trot around the large field area, or you can ride out into the forest onto a variety of trails and paths away from road traffic.
As well as offering riding lessons and hacks, there are a range of events and activities for children to take part in during the school holidays, plus if you’re celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday you can contact Jan Tupper to arrange a ‘Pony Party’ during your stay in Hampshire. For the adults, our favourite event at this friendly establishment is the incredibly popular ‘pub rides’ – a relaxing three-hour ride to the local and traditional inns in the area.
Whether you rent a pony or bring your own (Arniss Equestrian has a livery where your horse can have its own special getaway!), this is a heart-warming fairy tale experience; being able to discover the sublime beauty that is the New Forest on the back of one of these graceful creatures.
