The Rosevine

The Rosevine

Taking pride of place atop the cliffs between Porthcurnick and Porthbean Beach, the Rosevine is encompassed by the picture-perfect beauty of the Roseland Peninsula. Just a stone’s throw from the coast path and boasting easy access to both the refined streets of St Mawes and cobbled alleys of Truro, Cornwall’s capital city, the Rosevine couldn’t be more perfectly placed.

Whether you are coming over for a morning coffee, post-walk refuel or evening sundowner watching the sun sink over the inky horizon, you will always find a warm welcome here. A hotel with its own restaurant, its diverse menus crafted using locally-sourced goodies will lure even the most discerning of foodies, ever-changing with the seasons in a celebration of Cornwall’s abundant natural larder.

Set within a Georgian-style façade, the Rosevine’s restaurant and lounge area are all about understated elegance, tastefully embodying a nautical theme and interjected with colour from an eye-catching pop art collection. Complementing its tasteful décor are carefully placed antique pieces, upcycled features and Lloyd Loom furnishings. Perfect for nursing a hot cup of coffee over flowing conversation, the sink-in-able sofas are sure to tempt, while on sunny days the outside seating comes into its own.

For a more formal dining experience, take a table next to the French-shuttered windows in the restaurant and take in the views as you run your finger over the menu. As part of their daily-changing favourites, look forward to pan-fried seabass with buttered samphire, succulent Cornish lamb, roasted root vegetable risotto and locally-caught lobster. On Sundays, nothing will beat the restaurant’s traditional Sunday lunch, while balmy summer afternoons are all about cream teas on the lawn.

If you would like to visit, the Rosevine is open every day serving lunch between 12 and 2.30pm, afternoon tea between 2.30 and 4.30pm and dinner between 5.30 and 8.30pm. For an extra celebration, you can take exclusive hire of the dining room too, voted as one of the ‘Top 5 Best Private Dining Rooms’ by the Financial Times.
