Seasons Restaurant, The Eastbury, Sherborne

Surrounded by Dorset’s glorious countryside, the Seasons restaurant in Eastbury Hotel proffers a warm welcome, exuding country charm with a modern twist. Taking full advantage of its pastoral setting, its bold interiors are complemented by flowing grounds and picturesque walled gardens, ripe with homegrown produce ready for the plate.

Enjoying views of the hotel’s walled garden overhung by the leafy arms of trees and shrubs, this award-winning conservatory restaurant is a welcome venue. Having earned itself 2 Rosettes for excellence, it is widely recognised for its culinary acumen and friendly atmosphere. Bathed in light from huge windows that run the length of the restaurant and boasting plush interiors that hint at the finer things in life, it’s the perfect place to while away an afternoon or indulge in a lavish evening meal.

With every table enjoying a garden view and a suntrap terrace ideal for those sunny days, dining at Seasons is always a pleasure. With gorgeous menus pieced together with local ingredients and produce from the kitchen garden, each plate is neatly prepared with the finest local fare. Complete with menus specially tailored to meet specific dietary requirements, there is truly something for everyone here.

Championed by a dedicated team of staff, the kitchen at Seasons restaurant has been managed by Executive Chef Matthew Street for 12 years. Locally born, Matt earned his stripes working from the bottom to the top, training at Yeovil College and honing his skills competing in 2009’s Master Chef - The Professionals and Roux Scholarship. With a love of cooking stemming from childhood, Matt has taken this love and used it to create dishes that are “flavoursome, fresh, connective”.

Very much sharing the sentiment that local is always better, Matt uses as much produce from the restaurant’s doorstep as possible. As well as picking herbs from the kitchen garden, the restaurant team works with a committed local network, reducing carbon footprint and picking out the highest quality goods. Playing with flavour combinations and using seasonal ingredients, each dish is a unique product of the beauty and fertility of Dorset and captures both the heart and the tum.

If you would like to experience the tastes and textures of Seasons’ menus for yourself, the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, traditional afternoon teas and dinner.
