Lympstone Manor

Lympstone Manor

Surrounded by 28 acres of parkland, the Michelin Star Lympstone Manor is a unique blend of celebration and vision, combining Devon’s bounteous natural larder with the unabated talent of Michael Caines MBE.

Standing proud amidst a sprawling 28-acre estate, the meringue-coloured façades of Lympstone Manor cut a brilliant contrast to the verdant greenery of its surrounds. A haven for wildlife, it pays homage to the beauty of Devon, both cultivating and protecting the land to reap the benefits of its abundant larder whilst preserving its natural beauty. The result? A sanctuary for peace-seekers and a honeypot for culinary connoisseurs looking to sample the cleanest, fresh tastes of the land, harnessed and fine-tuned by the expert hands of Michael Caines MBE himself.

Overlooking the sea and surrounded by acres of parkland, vineyards and the soft ripples of sprawling Devon countryside, Lympstone Manor has endless appeal. Yet more than its idyllic surrounds, the beating heart of the estate revolves around a celebration of food that draws those from near and far hoping to make the most of its accessible location and sample its award-winning food. And when we say award-winning, we really mean it, with Lympstone Manor being a proud member of Relais and Chateaux and boasting multiple accolades, including a highly-prized Michelin star.

Laid out with not one but three unique dining areas, those ready to get seated can choose from the Powderham, Mamhead and Berry Head rooms. Luxurious and thoroughly inviting, the atmosphere and service goes far beyond the expected and creates a truly memorable experience. Sit back and lap up the ambience – each named after views over the Exe Estuary, the dining rooms boast beautiful views and from the Powderham room, the castle and Belvedere Tower nestled amongst the tree-clad hillside beyond can be seen on a clear day.

Once you are settled, the only thing that’s left to do is pore over the exquisite selection of food and drink on offer. Holding two Michelin stars for 18 consecutive years and championing the use of quality, local produce, Michael’s extraordinary talent and passion for the South West is thoroughly reflected in the menu’s seasonal, regional dishes that each embody rare precision, focus and flavour. And, rewarding diners with lunch, dinner and afternoon tea sittings, more good news is that you can come back for more heavenly fare again and again. We suspect you’ll want to!
