This utterly beautiful barn conversion nestles at the end of a mile long lane close to Boscastle and the ancient town of Tintagel, home of King Arthur and the legends of the Round Table (think Game of Thrones). Italian Porcelain tiled floors and white walls are the backdrop for big upholstered sofas, a wood burner and surround sound cinema system. Warmth, comfort and entertainment are abundant whatever the weather throws at you.
Bigger groups

Great news for bigger groups! A small detached self-contained barn conversion across the front courtyard houses a third bedroom with its own shower room (with underfloor heating) and hand built kitchen, fully equipped for cooking anything from a boiled egg to a roast dinner! This additional accommodation is available for those wanting extra space, a fifth party member or three couples wanting to holiday together. (Shown in the last images in the filmstrip above). The big open plan living room has underfloor heating (plus conventional central heating - totally toasty warm!). Sofas piled with cushions set before a contemporary wood burner and a huge wall-mounted Smart TV with full Sky package and surround sound cinema system, perfect for lazing and relaxing after a day walking the coastal footpaths along rugged cliffs or exploring the remains of King Arthur's Castle or the Hall of Chivalry.


A beautifully tactile reclaimed elm dining table and matching benches sit next to the kitchen island, perfect for long lunches and lingering suppers with the lights turned low and the glow of the wood burner in the background.


Moonbeam has two gorgeous and spacious oak floored bedrooms with an elegant mix of new and commissioned furniture with lovely rugs, throws and cushions and super Egyptian cotton bed linens. Bedroom 1 has a lovely feature Pippy Oak double bed, a window seat looking out across the beautiful garden and valley. Bedroom 2 has a comfy double bed, a sitting area and oodles of space. Each bedroom has a wall mounted Smart TV with Freesat.


Both bedrooms have fabulous en suite facilities, one with a big walk-in glass-sided cubicle with conventional and rain head shower and the other with its own shower-bath and rain head shower. The perfect places to relax after long walks breathing in gallons of fresh North Coast air. Both are beautifully tiled with Italian porcelain and travertine stone and have toasty warm underfloor heating as well as heated towel rails.


There is a big utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, plenty of storage and a separate cloakroom with loo and basin.


Opposite the front door, steps lead down to a gorgeous sunken garden and pond surrounded by trees, mature planted beds and old stone walls. There is a plethora of colourful flowering plants and shrubs for each season and views across the valley to St. Juliot Church (featured in "A Pair of Blue Eyes" and renovated by Thomas Hardy who married the local vicar's daughter).

The garden is hugely attractive for wildlife, you will see an amazing variety of birds as well as squirrels, badgers and even deer. To the side of Moonbeam steps lead up to a sheltered paved barbeque area with a Weber barbeque, picnic table and more lovely views. Bordered by shrubs this is the perfect place to sip wine in the evening alongside the BBQ. The Owners, who live nearby, in the most gorgeously ancient, wisteria-clad farmhouse, have cultivated 10 acres of fabulous grounds just begging to be explored. There are several lakes with ornamental trees and shrubs, majestic Gunnera plants and shade-dappled walks through verdant woodland - blissful for avid gardeners and a relaxing treat for the less green fingered!

Please note: because of the lakes and steps to the gardens, this property is not suitable for children under ten. The abundance of wildlife also makes it unsuitable for dogs.


There is parking for up to three cars by the side of the cottage.


Bring your wellies, your walking boots and your flip-flops to make the most of this superb location. Close to the Coast Path for sand and sea at Crackington Haven, a 'secret' beach at Rusey (worth the bit of a clamber to reach!) and the ancient harbour to explore at Boscastle with breathtaking Cornish landscape all around. Port Isaac, Doc Martin's homeland, and Padstow - or 'Padstein' as it's known to locals since Rick Stein introduced award-winning dining here a good few years ago - are both a short jaunt down the coast. There is great surfing at Widemouth Bay and Bude, 15 miles away.


Moonbeam has Superfast broadband, so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can, and you can watch catch up TV and stream your favourite films.
