Step into the world of On the Rocks, a property surrounded by the sea on three sides, and you'll soon be transformed into a state of calm blissfulness - where the gentle lapping of waves on rocks, iridescent sunlight flickering on the calm waters and fresh sea air will dissolve your everyday worries as easily as ice in a G & T. This lovely seaside home, sleeping 12, is a perfect relaxed home stay for families or a group of friends seeking the ultimate getaway.
Living
The fantastic sitting room - complete with huge sofas, stripped floorboards and stunning glass doors that open out to the garden overlooking the sea - draws inspiration from its coastal location in shades of blue and cream. The cosy wood burning stove means you'll be toasty in winter when you're storm-watching out of the window. In summer months, pull back the glass doors, open the sash windows and let the warmth of the sea air and the sounds of the sea birds flood in.
There's also a downstairs play room, complete with a Samsung curve television, lots of games and huge Made bean bags - perfect for teenagers who want their own space.
Eating
Just wow! The spectacular kitchen is the ultimate space in which to create luscious meals. With a stunning blue Aga, bags of worktop space including a lovely island and breakfast bar, fab American-style fridge freezer and a host of other appliances, you'll not want for anything. The pretty window and glass door overlooks the sea, so you can gaze out the window whilst you prepare your feasts.
The separate dining room has bi-fold doors so you can watch everyday life on the water as you eat - whether closed during the winter months or wide open on three sides in summer. The large table, trestle-type benches and chairs are just perfect for long lunches and dinner.
Sleeping and bathing
The six bedrooms are beautifully and individually designed, and are light, airy rooms in which to withdraw, relax and enjoy a glorious night's sleep with the sound of the waves helping you drift off to sleep. The master bedroom has a superking bed, three bedrooms can either be set up as a superking or as twin beds and two bedrooms have twin beds.
Downstairs there is a large en suite bedroom with zip and link beds (6' double or twin beds) with a pretty botanical theme and glorious sea views. The en suite bathroom has a gorgeous bath tub for two and huge walk in shower.
Additionally, there's a pretty zip and link bedroom (6' double or twin beds) bedecked in shades of yellow with an en suite 'Jack and Jill' shower room and a further large bedroom with zip and link beds (6' double or twin beds) which has lovely views out over the creek and out to the pretty village of St. Anthony beyond. It also benefits from a sink and glass doors that open out onto the patio, garden and hot tub.
Upstairs is the master bedroom; the most has been made of the breathtaking view with glass doors leading onto a large private balcony which overlooks the creek and St Anthony, whilst a further large window looks directly out to sea. The en suite bathroom has a bathtub for two with a huge waterfall shower. Additionally, there are two further pretty twin bedrooms which share a 'Jack and Jill' shower room.
All double bedrooms can be converted into twin rooms except the master bedroom.
Utility Room
To the back of the house is a handy utility which has a washing machine, tumble dryer and a shower - ideal if you've just hopped out of the hot tub or the sea. There's also lots of space for hanging wetsuits and lifejackets.
Outside space
Outside you're right on the water's edge, so there's plenty of space to sit back, soak up the sun and marvel at the view over the creek and across to the pretty village of St Anthony whilst steps lead down to the beach - perfect for rock pooling and crabbing. The hot tub is just lovely - why not take a dip at night and watch the stars glitter above? Just perfect.
Please note, the hot tub is available between the months of April to the end of September for bookings in 2023.

On the Rocks has WiFi so if you need to stay in touch with the outside world you can.

There's ample private parking for six cars at On The Rocks.
In the Area
Lucky you - On the Rocks is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall. The Lizard is classified as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and you'll find plenty of beautiful spots to visit, from the pretty villages of Helford, Mullion, Cadgwith and Coverack to the outstanding coastal paths that wind along the cliffs with the most incredible views (On the Rocks is situated right on the Coastal Path). There are some beautiful beaches, such as Kynance Cove, Kennack Sands, Poldhu Cove and Polurrian Cove amongst many to be explored with lots of water sports available too. A wide selection of motor, sailing, and rowing boats are available to hire directly opposite On the Rocks in the small coastal hamlet of St. Anthony.
Of course, you can explore further afield; St Ives isn't too far away on the north coast and you're ideally located to visit the far west all the way to Land's End.
You're not short of places to eat and drink - on the Trelowarren Estate, just up the road, you'll find the New Yard Restaurant. The Ship Inn in Mawgan and the New Inn are both worth a visit. The Five Pilchards in Porthallow Cove and Fat Apples Café are great too, and a brilliant coastal walk from On the Rocks so you don't need to step into a car. Additionally, there's The Shipwrights Arms, The Ferryboat Inn, and Holy Mackerel Café on the banks of the picturesque Helford. Gourmands will enjoy visiting The Greenhouse in St Keverne and further afield in St.Mawes, Olga Polizzi's The Tresanton and The Idle Rocks (Relais Chateaux).
