Whitewashed and wonderful, a warm welcome awaits you at Tretawny, a peaceful country-chic retreat. With bags of original features such as beamed ceilings, an open fire and of course the incredible thatched roof, this is a perfect escape for families or equally lovely for couples. We adore the warm wooden floors, simple décor and tranquil feel of this beautiful home stay, and being dog-friendly as well, it means you can bring your four-legged friend with you too.
Living
The gorgeously snug living area is simply decorated with rough whitewashed walls, beamed ceiling and an incredible, unique open fire built into the wall with thick iron doors. Pretty duck egg seating offers a tranquil space in which to lounge on stormy winter nights or to keep cool on balmy sunshiny days, whilst there's flat screen Smart television for film nights. In addition, there's a fabulous playroom for youngsters to hang out with sofa, bean bag chairs, Smart television and DVD/Blu-ray player.
Eating
The open-plan kitchen and dining area offers plenty of space for entertaining, with wooden floors, whitewashed walls and beamed ceilings throughout. The kitchen comes fully equipped for even the most demanding of chefs and includes a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, fridge, freezer, wine cooler and the all-important Nespresso coffee machine.
The dining table, which easily seats eight to 10 people, is just perfect for dinner parties or late breakfasts, and we love the Welsh dresser that nestles in the corner. Outside, you'll find a dining table, chairs and parasol for summer barbeques too.
Sleeping
Upstairs, there are three pretty bedrooms. The master en suite bedroom has a king size bed and a flat-screen television, whilst there's a further bedroom which can be made up as either a super king or twin beds, and a cute bunk bed room, perfect for little ones but which are also adult-sized. Each are simply decorated in white with touches of grey and light blue and come with luxurious bedding.
Bathing
The en suite to the master bedroom has a bath with overhead shower and a heated rail to keep towels fluffy and warm whilst there's an additional shower room upstairs and a loo downstairs.
Outdoor space
To the back is a pretty, walled garden with grassy lawn, patio and dining table and chairs. The barbeque is kept in the far-left corner of the garden (this must stay here as Tretawny is thatched). Additionally, there's an outside tap to wash wetsuits and muddy dogs.
WiFi
Tretawny has WiFi so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can.
Dogs
Two well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Tretawny, we charge £30 per dog per week or short break.
Parking
There's designated parking for strictly one car only with additional parking on the lane outside of the property.
