This lovely seaside home is a light, joyful space perfect for couples or families looking to explore beautiful south east Cornwall. Overlooking the Lynher River across to the lush Antony Estate owned by the National Trust, this is ideally located to explore the Tamar Valley, Whitsand Bay and Rame Head. With an upside-down approach (meaning the living space is upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs), it makes the most of the views out over the water where you can sit and watch the boats and yachts sail by. Interiors are light, open and pretty - a laid-back yet stylish approach to allow the views to take centre stage whilst offering the most luxurious comfort for your perfect holiday.
Special 'Just for Two' rate
A special 'Just for Two' rate applies if there are only two guests staying at Lynher House. The discount off the advertised rate is 20%. This only applies out of peak booking weeks and school holidays only. Call us in the office on 01872 553491 if you have any questions or would like to book. When Lynher House is booked for two guests this is on the basis that only the master bedroom is used during your stay.
Living and eating
Step up into the living space and you'll find a spacious, open room with impressive vaulted ceiling and windows to make the most of the river views. With pale colours throughout, you'll find the living area to the left and the kitchen to the right.
With an impressive wood burner for cooler months, the sitting area is chic in its simplicity with comfy sofas and chairs plus a Juliet balcony and window seat for gazing out. There's a SONOS sound system and Smart TV with Netflix too for those special nights in.
In the middle of the room you'll find the fabulous dining table, right by the window so even at mealtimes you won't miss the view. The white, sleek, modern kitchen at the far end is ideal for whipping up a meal or two and comes complete with everything you need, including a large American-style fridge-freezer, double oven, island and breakfast bar as well as glass doors that open out over the river.
Sleeping and bathing
Take the stairs down and you'll find two sumptuous bedrooms to fall into at the end of the day. The master en suite bedroom has gorgeous river views and a large king size bed, built in wardrobe, dressing table and vanity unit in calming shades of cream and purple. The en suite has a large rainfall shower, two sinks and pretty slipper baths for long soaks, plus a heated towel rail.
The second bedroom, also with river views, has a super king zip-and-link bed meaning it can be kept as a double or made into twins - perfect for children or adults alike. This also has a handy built-in wardrobe and dressing table with mirror, whilst the en suite is a lovely shower room with heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Both bedrooms come with the most luxurious of bedding and soft furnishings.
Outdoor space
To the front of the property is a sun-soaked patio overlooking the Lynher River. Here you'll find a cute bistro table and chairs for a spot of breakfast before heading out for the day, and an intimate arbour to snuggle up on with a sundowner in hand as the evening draws in. To the back of the house you'll find an enclosed balcony with chairs and a table for private get-togethers. There's a barbeque too for summer meals out front.

In the Area
Lucky you! This is a beautiful spot to explore and can often be less crowded than other parts of Cornwall. Across the river lies Antony, a beautiful Queen Anne-era country house owned by the National Trust with impressive gardens and fabulous parkland - used recently by director Tim Burton for his film 'Alice in Wonderland'. Cothele, another National Trust property, is a gorgeous Tudor house and has beautiful gardens too.
Whitsand Bay is a must-visit too, with incredible vistas out over the sea - perfect to explore along the South West Coastal Path. There are some lovely seaside villages to explore too such as Kingsand, Cawsand, Looe and further along to Fowey, whilst the Rame Peninsula and Tamar Valley are a must for nature lovers plus it's a few miles from Port Eliot if you're visiting the estate or festival.
