Located in the heart of the quintessential Cornish seaside village of Mousehole, Azure is a beautifully restored former fisherman's cottage turned retreat just steps from the beach and harbour. Retaining all its original features and charm - think stone walls, woodburning stove and polished wooden floors - combined with all the modern luxuries you would expect, this makes an ideal home stay for those looking to explore the far west of Cornwall and is ideal for both families and couples alike.
Living

The snug living space is just perfect - cool in the summer with thick stone walls and shutters on the window, it's cosy in the winter with a large wood burning stove, comfy velvet sofa and two occasional chairs for curling up on. There's a Smart TV and Blu Ray for evenings in, plus a digital radio with Bluetooth for music fans - a lovely space in which to totally unwind.

Eating

The cute kitchen is simply divine with dark blue cupboards, oak worktops and all the appliances you'll need to rustle up meals and snacks for your loved ones, including an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Smeg table top appliances plus a washing machine. Next door is the dining area with a table and chairs to seat four comfortably, with amazing artwork as a focus point.

Sleeping

There are two bedrooms - the master bedroom is oh-so-pretty in shades of dusty pink, with a king size bed, whilst the second bedroom in shades of green and blue has a zip-and-link meaning it can be twin beds or another king size double for flexible sleeping. Both rooms have plenty of handing and storage space, plus Smart TVs.

Bathing

The family bathroom has a deep, luxurious bath with overhead luxurious digitally-operated shower plus a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy after a long soak or a wake-me-up shower.

Outdoor space

There's a cute, secluded courtyard garden complete with dining table, chairs and gas barbeque for a spot of alfresco dining basking in the summer sunshine. There's also a handy outdoor shower to wash off wetsuits and sandy toes.

Parking

Mousehole wasn't built with cars in mind, but there are three public car parks - one on the approach into the village and one either side of the harbour- and laybys on the approach into the village.

Babies

There is a high chair and travel cot at Azure available on request - please bring your own bedding for the cot.

Dogs

One dog is very welcome at Azure. We charge £30 per week or short break.

Azure has Superfast Fibre broadband so should you need to stay in touch with the outside world you can.

In the Area

Azure is the perfect base from which to explore the stunning far west of Cornwall. Mousehole itself is a lovely little village with some fabulous places to eat including The Old Coastguard and 2 Fore Street. There's a great delicatessen called the Hole Food Deli (perfect for luxurious extras), plus Rock Pool Café is great for coffee and cake or afternoon tea as well as a host of others to explore. Pop into your car and head west, exploring the pretty coves of Lamorna and Porthcurno (also home to the Minack Theatre) towards Land's End and Sennen, a fab little village with an epic beach and a hot spot for surfers. Further around you'll find iconic St Ives with its golden sandy beaches, the Tate and lots of shops and places to eat. Back on the south coast check out Newlyn - one of the oldest continual fishing harbours in the UK - and pick up some fresh fish for dinner. Make sure to visit historic Chapel Street in Penzance as well as Jubilee Pool. Further along, there's magical St Michael's Mount and Marazion, Praa Sands (an amazing beach), Porthleven (home to lots of brilliant restaurants) and the Lizard, the most southerly point in the UK and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
