Paired back and beautiful, from the moment you walk through the front door, you're transported to a calmer, more idyllic place where worries and cares need to be left on the doorstep. A love nest in the truest sense, this retreat is romantic to it's core. With soft whites, vintage woods, natural fabrics, carefully chosen artwork and statement pieces throughout, this is somewhere you'll look forward to returning to every night. Situated in Mousehole but tucked away from the busy harbour, it's a peaceful retreat with simple outdoor space and even a little stream running past out back.
Living
Lying to the front of the house, the elegant living room has a plush navy blue velvet sofa, suitably large enough to sprawl over, plus a leather armchair. There is a decorative fireplace and a selection of candles will be left for cosy nights in. The soft wooden floors are stained white, there's a television for when you want a cosy night in to relax. We love the glass partition separating the sitting area from the kitchen, the lighting and all the vintage bits and pieces that help to create a stylish and oh-so-pretty room.
Eating
The fabulous kitchen is just gorgeous with a characterful butchers' block at its heart. Behind the sleek white cabinets is all the equipment you'll need to rustle up a romantic meal or two, whilst we love the vintage lights overhead and the pretty dining table for two just in front, perfect for intimate meals. We just love all the natural woods on display and the gorgeous tableware.
Sleeping
We don't think we've met a more romantic bedroom. With voluptuous swathes of soft white cottons hiding the bed like the sails of the ship, gorgeous lighting underneath and the prettiest of bed linens and cushions scattered all over, this is a fairy tale boudoir made for long lazy lie-ins. Stripped-back floorboards, simple white walls, decorative fireplace and a vintage leather chair lend a paired-back beauty to the room whilst the white furs, shutters and finishing touches add Scandi elegance.
Bathing
Just wow - the marble-lined bathroom has an incredible, oval free-standing bath made for long soaks with plenty of bubbles. Additionally, there's a fab walk-in shower, heated towel rail and brilliant touches such as the vintage table holding the sink and bathroom cabinet lined with vintage newspaper.
Outside Space
To the front of the property is cute enclosed garden complete with table for alfresco dining, sun beds and a coal barbeque - perfect for summer nights. To the back of the property lies a small courtyard which backs on to a lovely stream. There's a pretty bistro set of table and chairs too - perfect for breakfast or morning coffee.

Parking
There is on street parking outside of Genevieve on a first come first serve basis. There are two harbourside car parks plus a larger car park adjacent to The Old Coastguard hotel towards the edge of the village - finally there is street-side parking on the road into Mousehole about a 15 minute walk from the house.
In the Area
You're in the perfect location for exploring the far West of Cornwall. There's simply tons of things to see and do right on your doorstep.
In Mousehole itself there's some fabulous places to eat such as 2 Fore Street (make sure to book) - a fantastic waterfront restaurant. Additionally, The Hole Food Deli is fad for coffee and cake. There's a small sandy beach and lots of artisan shops to explore too.
Head out of the village west and you'll discover pretty Lamorna Cove, the Minack Theatre (make sure to catch a performance if you can, or take a tour), Sennen with its huge beach and plentiful places to eat such as Ben Tunnicliffe and around to Cape Cornwall. Follow the road further and you'll find one of the prettiest stretches of coastline in Cornwall which takes you in to St Ives.
Head east from Mousehole and you'll come across Newlyn, one of the oldest and busiest fishing ports in England. Make sure to pick up some fresh fish to cook back at Genevieve - delicious! Carry on and Penzance awaits, with Chapel Street to explore and the iconic Art Deco Jubilee Pool to have a dip in.
Further along is Marazion and the awe-inspiring St Michael's Mount, a great day out where you can walk to the Mount when the tide is low or catch the boat across when it's high.
