Tucked away in the heart of the historic Cornish fishing village of Mousehole, Keep Cottage is a super-special retreat which has been lovingly restored by a family who have owned the cottage for generations. Swathed in shades of grey and white and with soft wood, there is Cornish stone and exposed beams throughout.
Living
Step through the front door of Keep Cottage and you'll find yourself immediately immersed in the laid-back loveliness of the living area. With a wood lined wall one side and a fireplace with wood burner showcasing the stunning Cornish stone on the other, this is a cosy retreat which celebrates natural materials in understated but luxurious style. Soft grey sofas, complete with plenty of stylish cushions, ensure plenty of room to snuggle up on after a day out exploring.
Eating
The kitchen is well proportioned for fantastic feasts with lovely wooden surfaces, creamy cabinets, butler sink, built in oven and ceramic hob. There's a great selection of equipment available including Dualit appliances, so whether you're a budding Jamie or an experienced Delia, you've got everything to hand to create a perfect meal (perhaps picking up some seafood from nearby Newlyn). There's a breakfast bar for relaxed or on-the-go eating (complete with industrial style lighting) and a dining table tucked away for long lazy dinners.
Sleeping
There are two lovely bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts an unusual vaulted ceiling, kingsize wrought iron bed, lovely white painted wooden floorboards and crisp, white linens - everything you need for a restful, calming sleep. A pretty blue woollen blanket and cushions complete the look. The second bedroom has a bespoke bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single on the top, perfect for flexible sleeping arrangements. Again, this room has a vaulted ceiling which gives the room a real sense of space.
Bathing
There's a fabulous bathroom with white metro tiles, black Cornish slate flooring and drench head shower over the bath. Nothing beats a long, lavish bath after a day out walking the cliffs or a cooling shower to wash away the sand after a day at the beach - bliss!
Parking
Whilst there isn't parking at Keep Cottage you can do a bag drop then park your car in one of the harbourside car parks nearby.

Keep Cottage has WiFi so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can.

In the Area
Step out of your door and wander into the heart of Mousehole, probably the most iconic fishing village in Cornwall. The village maintains its olde-worlde charm, with narrow cobbled streets, slate roofs, whitewashed cottages and brightly coloured paint work. It's perfect for foodies with a good selection of restaurants, cafés and delis, and is of course just a hop, skip and a jump to the world-famous fishing village of Newlyn. For things to do, St Ives is only 20 minutes' drive away on the north coast, whilst of course there's St Michael's Mount and Marazion to explore on the south. A hidden gem and a must-visit is Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens - a botanical beauty filled with art as well as incredible sea views and an excellent restaurant. Further afield a visit to the Lizard is a must as an AONB, whilst the harbour village of Portheleven has a fab selection of eateries. Alternatively, pop in the car and head further west to Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, or further around to Cape Cornwall and Sennen Cove. For a walk from your doorstep, join the South West Coastal Path and walk to nearby Lamorna Cove - approximately five miles (there and back) of glorious sea views and a good yomp to blow away the cobwebs!
