This family-shaped luxury cottage in Cornwall is fab! Think buckets and spades, sandy feet and fishing for crabs; in true BR style The Beach House has an air of ‘The Hamptons’ for after-hours chilling - family holidays are also for grown-ups...
Up a few steps from the kitchen is the sitting room (the rooms are on different levels as at one time The Beach House was two cottages) with a large leather sofa, contemporary armchairs and Fat Boy™ bean bags for smaller guests - which can be tucked away under the stairs when not needed. The sitting room is kitted out with plenty of books, board games, DVDs and an iPod dock so there is plenty to do in an evening in front of the log burning stove. Fresh modern artwork gives the space a very new England style feel for a seaside chic holiday in the heart of Mousehole.
Enter The Beach House into an open plan kitchen-dining area with a separate breakfast bar area. Whitewashed walls, coastal artwork, Original BTC lighting and a contemporary Conran table and chairs await. The kitchen houses a range of appliances including a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, a wine cooler and an ice machine for your après beach G&T's. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of grown-up crockery and also include bits and pieces for smaller guests. There is a high chair in the cupboard under the stairs.
A master bedroom with a cast iron double bed, hanging space and a dressing table; a twin bed room with cast iron beds and a children's bunk room with fabulous Tin Tin theme (these are full sized single bed bunks but the room is very small so we suggest this is suitable only for young children). New England plantation shutters are fitted throughout to ensure a great night's sleep. A travel cot is provided.
A small bathroom makes the best use of space with a bath and an overhead shower.
Mousehole is a tiny fishing village with a thriving community, 2 Fore Street restaurant is a firm favourite with guests and locals alike, there is a fab deli for your morning croissants just around the corner and the sandy beaches are just a stroll away.
Please be aware that there is no allocated parking space outside The Beach House although you are usually able to stop outside to unload bags. The quayside car parks are a moments' walk away, there is a larger car park at the entrance to the village and there is free parking on the approach to the village as well.
The Beach House is fully WiFi ready, so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can.

"It was particularly lovely to stay somewhere that had comfortable beds and nice linen, a small point but it make a big difference." - July 2015
"Loved it. We will definitely use you again!" - July 2015
"Wonderful cottage. Spotless and very comfortable. Attention to detail was definitely worthy of it being a 'Boutique Retreat'. Now that we know the standard of properties you offer, we will definitely be looking to book with you again. The housekeeper was so kind in offering to post on our son's teddy that was left behind. So grateful for that!" - August 2015
"Wonderful cottage, perfectly suited our needs - we had a fabulous time! Its so hard to find stylish but child friendly accommodation for a family with 4 small children. Most cottages seem to be designed for a family of 4, or sleep 8 + and come with extra bathrooms; super king beds etc which we just don't need - so this cottage was a real find! We were so pleased with it. All in all a fabulous place and I would highly recommend to everyone. Likewise, I will definitely be looking to book with Boutique Retreats again - great service and selection of cottages." - February 2016
