This charming cottage is the perfect pad for exploring the iconic seaside town of Padstow. Simply stylish and oh-so-comfy, this dog friendly homestay is ideal for families seeking a quiet yet easy-to-access home.
Step through the door and each room offers a warm welcome, where modern country meets seaside loveliness. Sleeping six, one ensuite bedroom is in its own annex, ideal for those seeking a little privacy, whilst an enclosed courtyard garden provides outside living on warmer days.
Just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Padstow, you have a plethora of shops and eateries on hand, whilst gorgeous sandy beaches are an easy stroll away. Pop in a car (or hire bikes) to explore the Camel Estuary, whilst further afield the wild and dramatic north Cornish coast awaits exploration.
Living
With a huge, comfy L-shaped blue sofa, exposed wooden flooring and roaring wood burner, the sitting room is simply divine and a joy to return to after a busy day out exploring. There's a Smart television with access to Netflix and a state-of-the-art Bluetooth sound system to create the playlist to your holiday.
Eating
The country-style kitchen with beamed ceilings, wooden worktops and granite tiled flooring is just lovely, and comes complete with everything you'll need to rustle up meals, with an induction hob and fan assisted oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and wine fridge plus freezer, washing machine and all the other essentials including a Sage bean to cup coffee machine. The kitchen is also home to a kitchen dining table for informal meals, whilst in the living area there's a more formal dining table and chairs - perfect for celebrations and get togethers.
Sleeping and bathing
There are three bedrooms to choose from, one of which is in its own annex, across the courtyard.
The master en suite bedroom has a delightful wrought iron bed knobs-and-broomstick king sized bed, complete with dual aspect windows making this a bright, airy room with touches of regal purple. There's a chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe and hanging space for clothes, whilst the en suite is a shower room.
The second bedroom is a countryside-inspired twin room, where forest greens create a calming ambience, and dual aspect windows offer views over Padstow. This room has a built-in wardrobe with a chest of drawers to stow clothes away in - a perfect room for children or adults alike. This room has use of the family bathroom, which has a bath with shower overhead.
The third en suite bedroom lies in its own annex, and boasts a charming white wrought iron double bed, built- in storage and en suite shower room - a great bedroom for those seeking their own space away from the main house.
All beds come swathed in luxurious linens and bedding, whilst the bath and shower rooms have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Outdoor space
Outside, you'll discover a gorgeous courtyard, complete with chairs and a coffee table for afternoon lounging or pre-dinner drinks.
Parking
There is no private parking at Kendra but there is on road parking available.
Babies and children
Babies and children are most welcome at Kendra. Please bring your own baby equipment with you.
Dogs
One well-behaved dog over two years old is most welcome at Kendra. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
In the Area
Kendra is just a three-minute walk from the centre of Padstow, so it's a dream to explore shops, gaze at the fishing boats and sample some of the best Cornish cuisine. Discover favourites such as Paul Ainsworth at Number Six and Café Rojano by Paul Ainsworth, Prawn on the Lawn and The Seafood Restaurant by Rick Stein. Alternatively, sharpen your culinary skills with tips from the expert himself at Stein's cookery school - a unique experience with the harbour as your backdrop. Impressive Prideaux Place is just steps away, a stunning medieval manor house with gorgeous grounds and its own herd of deer. It's also an easy walk to the beach - Hawker's Cove is a lovely 20-minute stroll away. For a taste of local produce, the fabulous Padstow Farm Shop is just a short drive away and a must for picking up tasty morsels for your stay. For a little exercise, the Camel Trail that follows the estuary is a must, whether you decide to explore on foot or by bicycle, bikes can be hired locally in town. Further afield, you have the ruggedly beautiful north Cornish coast to explore, whilst inland wild Bodmin Moor is made for impressive walks. Head to the south coast for The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project - only heavenly staycation moments reside here...
