Living and eating

The ground floor is a fabulous open-plan living space with wooden floors and a white, beamed ceiling. Walk through the front door and you'll find the charming sitting room, complete with two sumptuous light blue sofas and a cosy wood burning stove with original stone surround fireplace.

There's an additional seating area on the landing upstairs - a perfect spot for those seeking a quiet moment or two with a book.

The lovely country-style kitchen with butler sink, wooden worktops and egg-blue cupboards is a joy to prepare feasts in, boasting an easily operated electric Aga, plus other essentials like a dishwasher, microwave and the all-important coffee machine.

The dining area lies next to the kitchen and has a large wooden table which easily seats six and is a lovely space for long luncheons or decadent dinner parties. (Or why not take a leisurely stroll down the quayside to the nearby yacht club for a drink and a gourmet meal?)

In addition, there's a handy separate utility room with a washing machine.

There are three pretty bedrooms to choose from. The first bedroom which overlooks the river, is beautiful in shades of blue, white and grey and comes with a zip-and-link bed meaning it can be either a super king double or twin beds. The second bedroom in turquoise also overlooks the river and has a super king zip-and-link. The third bedroom is a peaceful king size bedroom in shades of white and light turquoise.

There's a family bathroom upstairs - great for long soaks - and a wet room downstairs, perfect for wake-me-up showers. Both have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

To the front lies a pretty cottage garden filled with flowers and boasting a small, sunlit spot with a table and chairs for morning coffees and breakfasts. The back garden, accessed from the first floor, is a real gem with stairs leading up to an elevated terrace and sporting spectacular roof-top views of the creek. Here you dream the day away gazing out over the boats, or sneak away into the 'Captain's Quarters' - a pretty summer house with two comfy armchairs, to read, relax and maybe nab a cheeky 40 winks!

There is private parking for one car, and you'll find additional on road spaces in the village.

A travel cot and highchair are provided on request, please bring along your own bedding.

Up to two dogs are very welcome at Navas Nook. We charge £30 per dog, per week or short break.

With so much to see and do close by, you'll never want for entertainment. The lush south coast has a sub-tropical climate and nearby you'll find two wonderful gardens to explore - Trebah and Glendurgan - both just a short drive away. Continue on, to Falmouth, you'll discover a bustling Sea-faring and university town jam-packed with excellent restaurants, Gyllyngvase Beach and the Maritime Museum, whilst you can also catch the ferry or drive to St Mawes and the wonderful Roseland Peninsula.
