Luscious interiors and a warm welcome await you at this stunning dog-friendly retreat for eight. Set in the heart of hip St Agnes on the north Cornish coast, you'll be spoilt with wonderful living spaces, fabulous kitchen, peaceful bedrooms and beautiful landscaped gardens with outside kitchen and dining area. Ideal for larger families or a group of friends, you're also just an easy walk into the centre of St Agnes with plenty of places to eat and a seven-minute walk to sandy Trevaunance Cove. Bliss!

Living

The Sun Room is just perfect as a sitting room with glass walls and ceiling, offering loads of light with doors that open on to the large terrace. During cooler months, the huge double-sided wood burner keeps things cosy. There's plenty of seating to sprawl out on and books and Cornwall magazines galore to keep you entertained. There's a second cosy reception room which is a perfect spot in which to catch up with your favourite book and comes complete with an Esse wood burning stove and views over the front garden. Finally, there's a sumptuous snug with large velvet sofa, wood burning stove and a large HD TV for film nights or when you want to catch up with a box set - it's also a fab hideaway for kids wanting their own space.

Eating

The fabulous kitchen has style as well as substance and will be a heavenly retreat for the keenest of cooks. With a Mercury range cooker with two ovens and induction hob, American style fridge freezer with ice/water dispenser and all the other equipment you will ever need to rustle up culinary delights. The dining room is a light, bright room with a real focus on natural wood and comes with a glass ceiling and a table for eight. Glass doors open on to a pretty courtyard with steps leading into the garden at one end whilst there's a fabulously deep and comfortable day bed and a bookshelf filled with classics at the other. There's also a huge table on the terrace outside for alfresco dining during warmer months. In addition, there's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Sleeping

There are four stunningly sumptuous bedrooms to choose from. The en suite master bedroom is a delight with huge mustard velvet super king bed, eye-catching designer palm leaf wallpaper and chic mid-century furniture. In addition, there's a further three bedrooms; the first, the garden bedroom, has a king-size Ercol Candlestick bed with pretty views over the garden, whilst the middle bedroom has a double brass bed. Finally, there's a super-sweet twin bedroom with oak-framed single beds and a fabulous selection of toys and books for children.

Bathing

The en suite to the master bedroom is a spacious shower room with rainfall head, whilst the family bathroom is blessed with a stunning freestanding bath for two with an additional walk-in shower with rainfall head. Downstairs in the utility there is a walk-in shower (perfect for quick showers after a day on the beach), and a loo.

Outdoor space

Just wow! The gardens at Fortuna are just lovely with plenty of room for exploring and which have been designed to be enjoyed in all weathers and seasons. There are three deck and terrace areas, a fabulous outdoor kitchen complete with a ceramic kamado barbeque egg, Morso cast iron pizza oven and grill, a huge outdoor dining table, a love seat rocking recliner, cute boat sandpit, lots of fruit trees, vegetable patches and a herb garden.

Child friendly

There is a cot, highchair, stairgates, generous toy basket, a huge selection of children's books, a real fishing boat sandpit with sand toys, two swings and a trampoline provided for your little ones. There are also two bed rails available for your use so that you and your little one's can sleep comfortably!

Dogs

Up to two dogs are very welcome at Fortuna. We charge £30 per dog per stay.

Parking

There's plenty of private gated parking.

WiFi

There is WiFi throughout Fortuna so if you need to stay in touch with the outside world you can.

In the Area

You're just an easy stroll from the centre of uber-cool St Agnes where you'll find great places to eat and fabulous shops should you want to cook at home. For meals out, head to Genki, Taste or Schooners for exceptional quality meals. The Sorting Office is a brilliant stop for coffee and lip-smackingly good cakes whilst The Cornish Pizza Co do lovely take-away pizzas. There's also an excellent choice of pubs too, from the Driftwood Spars to The Tap House - both which offer great live music too. Just down the road is the fantastic Miner's Arms in Mithian - well worth a visit whilst Canteen Cornwall's alfresco dinners are a must (check out their Facebook page for dates and times). If you like to cook at home, there's two butchers, a fishmonger, a greengrocer and a deli or two, plus the fab St Agnes Bakery which you need to visit. Trevaunance Cove is a great beach and within walking distance, whilst the incredible Chapel Porth beach with its caves, old mines (as featured in the recent BBC adaptation of Poldark) and huge sandy beach at low tide is just a short drive away. Being handily located on the North Cornish coast, you're also within easy reach of lots of fab places to visit, such as Godrevy with its immense beach and dunes, St Ives and the far West of Cornwall, Holywell Bay and across to the south coast and Falmouth, the Roseland Peninsula and Truro.
