This extraordinary home stay is just perfect. Minutes from golden sandy beaches and with everything you need within walking distance, this is a quintessential seaside town house, perfect for families or for couples looking for a little extra space. With an upside-down approach, the bedrooms are downstairs whilst the open-plan living space is on the top floor, to make the most of the light. The décor is just fabulous: think modern beachy style, and it's surprisingly spacious too.
Living and eating

Located on the top floor with spacious vaulted ceiling, huge Velux windows, simple wood floors and fab stone wall in the living area, this is a lovely laid-back space offering plenty of room. The living space is at the far end with gorgeous seating nestled around a huge cosy wood burner - perfect for cooler winter months. Four large windows, plus three Velux windows above, means light streams in and windows can be opened during summer months, letting the sound of the sea and seagulls drift in.

Next to the living area lies a huge dining table with built-in seating plus an additional bench. Ideal for if you have visiting guests, it's also the perfect spot if you're part of a group that's booked neighbouring Wella and Juliot too - it easily seats ten people.

The huge galley kitchen offers plenty of space for the experienced (or budding) chef to create culinary masterpieces. The vast range cooker, wine cooler and equipment galore mean you'll not want for anything. Happy cooking!

Sleeping

Two sumptuous, uniquely decorated rooms await. The master bedroom has a gorgeous teal velvet super king size bed, exposed stone feature wall and bags of storage space. The second bedroom, which can either be made as a super king or twin beds, has striking cloud wallpaper in teal and pink tones, helping you drift off to the land of nod. Both bedrooms have underfloor heating to keep toes toasty warm in winter whilst the granite tiled flooring keeps things cool in summer, as well as luxurious linens, gorgeous décor and supremely comfy beds.

Bathing

Iris has a lovely bathroom complete with large walk-in shower with drench shower head for invigorating wake-me-up showers, and a gorgeously deep bath for long soaks - with a television just in case! Two sinks ensure there's plenty of space to get ready in the morning whilst the heated towel rail keeps towels warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

To the front of Iris is an enclosed, secluded courtyard which is shared with two other properties - you'll have your own table and chairs to sit out, and there's a handy shower to wash down sandy feet or wetsuits. But with St Ives and its beaches as your back garden, you're spoilt for choice!

WiFi

Iris has WiFi so if you need to get in touch with the outside world you can.

Parking

From 1st June Iris has an allocated reserved parking space in the Higher Stennack area of St Ives, simply park the car and come and go as you please during your stay, the space is reserved solely for your use. If you require additional parking there are a number of long stay car parks in St Ives. Barnoon (a 4 minute walk away), The Island (5 minutes walk), Park Avenue (9 minutes walk), the Station (11 minutes walk) and Trenwith 1000 space car park (13 minutes walk or a short shuttle bus journey).

In the Area

Lucky you! Being in the heart of St Ives, there's plenty to do right on your doorstep. From the outstanding sandy beaches to Tate St Ives and from the plentiful restaurants to the brilliant shops, there's certainly enough to keep you entertained.

Head further west along the coast and you'll find gorgeous Sennen Cove with its huge beach and spectacular waves - perfect for surfers. A little further around and you'll find iconic Land's End, whilst head further around onto the south coast and you'll come across the astonishing Minack Theatre and the pretty fishing village of Mousehole.

Head east from St Ives and make sure to visit Godrevy with its sand dunes, outstanding beach and lighthouse and up along the north coast to see the wild beaches and headland of Portreath, St Agnes and Perranporth. Drive across the Cornish countryside to the south coast and The Lizard, where you'll find hidden coves, spectacular walks and amazing flora and fauna in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

  • Long Weekends (Fri to Mon) cost 75% of the weekly rate.
  • Short breaks are not available at Christmas and New Year.

Payments:

  • A 13 deposit & £30 booking fee secures your dates.
  • Payment of balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday starts.
  • There is a charge of £30 per pet per week or short break
