Living
The main living space lies in the centre of Sandpiper and is a lovely, cool escape in summer with glass doors that open wide onto the garden, bringing the outside in. In winter months, it becomes a cosy retreat with a gorgeous wood burning stove. A fabulously long sofa means you can all cosy up together and there’s a large TV too for when only a film night will do.
Eating
The spacious, welcoming kitchen is definitely the heart of Sandpiper. Soft, solid oak cupboards, terracotta tiles and a lovely green Aga make it a warm and cosy space and comes complete with everything you need to rustle up a meal (including another oven and hob if the idea of an Aga is a little daunting), as well as the all-important Nespresso coffee machine for sunny mornings on the terrace. Next to the kitchen is the dining area, complete with table big enough for eight, next to glass doors that lead out into the garden so on balmy nights you can have the sea breeze accompanying you over dinner. Outside, there’s also a decked area nestled in the gardens with a large table and chairs for a spot of al fresco dining.
Sleeping
There are four simple yet pretty bedrooms at Sandpiper – a double bedroom lies downstairs with its own bathroom whilst upstairs there is the master bedroom with en suite bathroom, and two twin bedrooms (one of which is specifically designed for little ones). The master bedroom has a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and the sea – perfect for a private breakfast or a Sundowner. All come complete with lovely linens and soft furnishings atop comfy beds to ensure a good nights’ sleep.
Bathing
There are three stylish bathrooms – the downstairs rainfall shower room is adjacent to the bedroom, whilst the upstairs family bathroom has a deep bath and gorgeous separate shower and Jack and Jill door meaning it’s both an en suite to the master bedroom and can be used by other guests. The third bathroom is a wet room with rainfall shower. You’ll also find a further loo in the utility next to the kitchen.
Outside space
The jewel in the crown at Sandpiper is the gorgeous, landscaped gardens and hot tub that you can step into directly from the French doors in the dining room. Soft sea breezes rustle the leaves of the trees, offering plenty of privacy, whilst the emerald lawns and hidden paths means there is plenty of space for little ones to play and explore. There’s also a great patio area with seating for long, lazy afternoons in the sun whilst of course there’s the magnificent hot tub – perfect for wallowing in whilst watching the stars above with a glass of something special in hand. Head to the bottom of the garden and join the path that will take you all the way down to the beach.
