Grandad's Cottage, one of the first to join our portfolio, is simply a delight, and now with a stunning new makeover, offers a tremendous stay for couples and smaller families alike. Tucked away near Church Cove on the Lizard, this wonderful retreat is oh-so-cosy, with calming tones throughout and carefully selected interiors that complement the heritage of Grandad's. This sumptuous retreat is perfect for romantic weekends or a week with the children, without forgoing life's little luxuries! Situated on the stunning Lizard, an AONB, there's so much to see and do, whether it's gazing in awe at majestic Kynance Cove, going for a swim in the azure waters of Coverack, or enjoying a bracing clifftop walk followed by a hearty dinner in a country inn, relaxing by an open fire - bliss!

Special 'Just for Two' rate

A special 'Just for Two' rate applies outside of school holidays, peak weeks, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year. At Grandad's Cottage the discount is 20%. Please note that only the Master bedroom will be available to you at this rate. Please call the office on 01872 553 491 to book.

Leave your wellies on the front veranda and step into the cosy sitting room, where you'll discover the warmest of welcomes. The exposed stone wall is a beautiful feature and sets off the cutest little hobbit wood-burner - just perfect to warm your toes whilst indulging in a marshmallow filled hot chocolate or a bottle of wine or two. A comfy cream sofa and armchairs await with soft throws and cushions, the perfect retreat to retire to at the end of a busy day exploring.

A stylish kitchen awaits you with dark blue cabinets underneath contrasting white worktops, containing all the essentials to rustle up meals, including an electric double oven and hob, Smeg retro fridge-freezer and a slimline dishwasher. Fling open the French doors and eat al fresco on the outside raised dining area amongst the lush vegetation or gather around the dining table with great views out over the beautiful cottage garden.

Sleeping and bathing

Two delightfully furnished double rooms await you upstairs, both with en-suites, so perfect for two couples or families alike - nobody has to share a bathroom! Sink into the romantic double bed in the sumptuous master bedroom with gorgeous linens, sumptuous bedding and cosy throws, all creating the dreamiest of hideaways to escape to. This room has a gorgeous en suite with roll top, freestanding bath, and separate shower. The second double room is smaller but still perfectly formed with a super comfy wrought iron bed and stylish bed linen, a picture-perfect sash window and an en suite shower room. In addition, there is also an additional loo in the utility room adjoining the kitchen.

Grandad's Cottage has a raised garden to the rear of the cottage which gives a choice of area to relax in, from the sea viewing deck on the top tier of the garden to the built-in seat on the patio to the sun loungers on the top terrace - the perfect spot for a G&T before dinner. For those looking for a tranquil retreat, take a seat in the gorgeous summer house or stop halfway down the garden at the outside dining terrace, there is a place for each and everyone.

There is a parking space for Grandad's Cottage in a parking bay opposite the cottage.

Explore the beautiful coves and beaches on The Lizard peninsula with coastal walks on your doorstep and when some light refreshment beckons; take a short stroll up the lane to sample the local hospitality. Return home to curl up on the sofa, warming your toes in front of the dinky Hobbit wood-burner. Grandad's Cottage is a little gem just waiting to be discovered.
