This charming studio-style luxury cottage in Cornwall is in a secluded rural location in between the marina and beaches of Falmouth and the pretty cobbled streets of Truro. Less than a mile away on the River Fal, the King Harry Ferry crosses the water to the beautiful Roseland peninsula and St Mawes.
Living and sleeping
The beautifully furnished bedroom/sitting-room has a high pitched ceiling with wooden beams giving an airy, spacious feel to this lovely room. The super king-size Vi-sprung bed is dressed with crisp white Egyptian cotton linens and beautiful cushions and throws from Oka and The White Company, perfect for lounging on and even better for ensuring a good night's sleep. Two wicker armchairs flank a small dining table where you can sit and eat or just relax with a glass of wine and a good book. A small selection of DVDs will keep you occupied if you want something to watch on the HD TV/DVD/CD player and an iPod docking station is provided so you can play your favourite tunes as you potter about or simply kick back and chill out.
Eating
Small but perfectly formed, the separate kitchen has an electric hob and oven, small dishwasher, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment for those all-important ice cubes - the only thing not able to be squeezed in is a washing machine. A Nespresso coffee machine will ensure you start the day with a smile and lovely crockery, cutlery and tableware will make your mealtimes a delight although should you wish to have a break from cooking the delightful Punchbowl & Ladle pub is just a mile away; the city of Truro is four miles away with a wide selection of good restaurants and pubs. Falmouth, which is eight miles away, is also great for eating out.
Bathing
The gorgeous bathroom is extremely spacious and truly luxurious. It has Porcelanosa embossed floral tiles on the wall behind the freestanding double-ended bath, twin wash basins inset into a stone-cast vanity unit and a huge shower cubicle with drench head shower. For the ultimate in bath time relaxation, a waterproof in-wall television can be viewed from the comfort of the bath! Gloriously soft towels and snugly White Company bathrobes are provided for you and the under floor heating will keep you toasty warm at all times.
Outside Space
There is a sheltered sitting area under the eaves at the front of this luxury cottage where a bistro table and chairs are set for you together with a mobile charcoal barbeque should you wish to cook outdoors. Prettily planted pots add colour and interest, making this a relaxing place to spend warmer evenings. A second sitting area on the other side of the cottage catches the sun most of the day and overlooks the original Victorian lean-to glass house which has been lovingly restored by the Owners.
The Owners have a friendly dog (Labrador/Springer cross) who may visit you in the garden!
