In summer, the country cottage garden offers an idyllic spot surrounded by trees and fields, whilst during cooler months the cosy wood burner and snug rooms offer a warm escape from blustery days.
Perfectly located to explore the best of Dartmoor, there is plenty to see and do all within a short distance, whether it's taking to the moor on foot and exploring the surrounding Tors, discovering the unique natural locations such as nearby Meldon Hill, or pottering around by car and exploring the pretty villages that dot the landscape such as nearby Chagford and exquisite Widecombe-in-the-moor.

Living
Just what you would expect in a cottage of this calibre, the wonderful sitting room is super cosy and snug and a delight to return to after a day out exploring. A sumptuous sofa lies next to the wood burner, the perfect spot to curl up together with the lights dimmed, watching the flickering flames reflect brightly on the walls. In addition, there's a desk should you need to catch up on some work, lots of books and magazines to peruse plus a Smart TV ticked away in the cupboard with Sky TV and DVD player. There's also a SONOS speaker so you can listen to your favourite tunes and create your new holiday playlist together.
Eating
The fabulous galley kitchen has everything you need to rustle up feasts for your loved one, with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and all the other essentials including a Nespresso coffee machine to help wake you up in the morning. At the far end is a cute breakfast bar with high stools, perfect for laid back meals. In the sitting room you'll find a more formal dining table, for meals tête-à-tête.
Sleeping
Take the stairs up to the bedroom where you'll discover the oh-so-romantic bedroom with vaulted ceiling and pretty views out of the window. The super comfy king-sized bed is just made for long lie ins and breakfast in bed, whilst the built-in wardrobe and cupboard offers plenty of storage. We love the darling dressing table and there's an occasional chair for when you want a quiet moment to yourself.
Bathing
This cottage has a beautiful bathroom with stone floor and a deep-set window plus a freestanding, roll top bath with handheld shower - perfect for long bubbly soaks - and a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Outdoor space
Outside there's a lovely cottage garden overlooking fields and the countryside (and maybe a cow or two!) complete with lawned area and a bistro table and chairs for alfresco dining. There's also a two-seater bench for tranquil moments, and lanterns for when the sun sets - how perfect!

There is private off road parking for one car adjacent to the property.

Babes in arms are welcome but please bring your own equipment with you.

Stabling
There are stables on site should you wish to bring your horse with you, to be organised directly with the owners.
In the Area
Tucked away in the untamed countryside of Dartmoor close to the pretty village of Chagford, this is a gorgeous getaway for lovers of all things wild. If walking is your thing, you need do nothing more than don your walking boots and head out to explore the likes of Kestor Rock, Fernworthy Reservoir, Thornworthy Tor with its Logan Stone and Scorhill bronze age stone circle. If you do want to explore further afield, Chagford has great places to eat and shop as well as an open-air swimming pool. Other places of note nearby is Bovey Castle and Spa and Gidleigh Park - both wonderful places to eat and relax, whilst the Warrren House Inn is an hours' walk on a fine day. Other wonderful places of note include Becky Falls, Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge and Wistmans Wood which are just a short drive away.
