Living and eating

The open plan living and dining area creates a wonderful stage for your escape from the every day, and underfloor heating throughout the studio means you'll be toasty warm during cooler months. The kitchen, running the length of the wall, offers everything you'll need to create meals and feasts for you and your loved one. There's an electric oven and induction hob and under counter fridge freezer, kettle and toaster plus all the crockery, glassware and pots and bans you could need. In addition, there is also a pantry for storing all your goodies. The only items not included are a washing machine or dishwasher.

The sumptuous sitting room has a large leather sofa for cosying up on, whilst two large, soft-as-a-cloud armchairs are perfectly positioned for you to catch up on your favourite TV series or film via the large Smart TV.

There's also a fab dining table for meals a deux, whist French doors lead out on to a small private courtyard where you'll find a table and chairs for alfresco meals.

The shower room boasts a huge walk in shower with rainfall head - perfect for waking you up in the morning and for soothing aching muscles after a long day out exploring.

The gorgeous king size bed is set in its own inglenook, so set back from the main living area and framed by a huge wooden beam. The darker toned walls make this a cosy, tucked-away spot just made for long lie ins. With bedside tables either side plus a large wardrobe, there's plenty of space for clothes too.

Step through the French windows and you'll find a lovely little courtyard garden complete with table and chairs - the ideal place for star gazing at night, wrapped up with a hot toddy in hand! Red Brick Studio is set within 60 acres of stunning countryside, boasting unforgettable views over rolling fields - just perfect for sunset chasers and nature lovers. Nestled in a blissfully rural location, this retreat's unique setting makes it an incredibly special escape from reality. Please note that the retreat is one mile from the local village, with nearby amenities and restaurants ranging from one to five miles away, and the city of Exeter is just seven miles away. Although these may be considered short distances for avid ramblers, the terrain is hilly, so walkers do need to be of average endurance to explore by foot.

The access lanes to this retreat are narrow, although never inaccessible, we would advise guests to be comfortable with reversing vehicles if choosing this retreat.

In the Area

Deep in the heart of Devon, there's plenty to see, do and eat in the area. There are some fabulous pubs just a short distance away such as the Thorverton Arms up the road, The Cadeleigh Arms near Tiverton and the Fisherman's Cot in Bickleigh. There's also the Exe Valley Farm Shop, a must for picking up local food and drink for you to enjoy. You're not far from Exeter - a bustling city with an amazing cathedral and lots to see and do. Also earby are the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor which are a must for walkers and cyclists with plenty of paths and trails to explore. In addition, take the scenic Tarka Trail Route to the rugged coast and surf beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe on the North Devon coast. Make sure to visit the lovely South Devon coast too and there are several National Trust properties nearby such as Knightshayes and Killerton, famous for their period houses and gardens alike.

This Devonshire beauty is a seductive studio space surrounded by glorious countryside - the perfect getaway for those seeking a peaceful escape.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Red Brick Studio:

Red brick studio was the perfect rural escape. It was beautifully decorated, quiet, sparkling clean, and we felt instantly at home. Even our dog Luna was made to feel welcome above and beyond what we are used to in dog-friendly accommodation. We were very sad to leave, and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a serene and soothing getaway.

Peaceful stay deep in the heart of gorgeous Devon countryside. The studio was extremely comfortable and had everything me and my dog needed to create a lovely home away from home. It was a 45 min drive to the coast to explore the SW coast path and there were many other good walks and attractions closer to the farm. Beautifully done out, high spec finish with lots of attention to detail.

Lovely accommodation & surroundings. Hosts very welcoming & friendly.

Stunning and quiet holiday spot in peaceful Devon. Beautifully designed space with everything you need. We could easily have not left the property all week! So accommodating with thoughtful touches for our dog - who did not want to leave the comfy dog bed they provide, so much so that we ordered the same one for him when we got home!

Location was amazing and the views spectacular

A stunning location & beautiful studio. Felt spacious & comfortable. Great tv including Netflix etc. Lovely dogs walks up the very quiet lane in the mornings. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous retreat location. Everything is as it appears on the photos, so beautiful you’d think it was a filter.

Great view, lovely people, very comfortable place

Redbrick barn studio is a lovely place to stay for your trip to Devon. Don’t let the ‘studio’ moniker fool you, it was really spacious for 2 well appointed with lovely furniture, a well appointed kitchen and a fabulous shower.

What a treat this place is!!! Utterly unspoilt and peaceful, a complete escape from London life. Cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity, this place is perfection!!

Overall a really lovely break away.
