Living, eating and sleeping
Drovers Run is totally open plan, meaning the bedroom flows into the lounge area which in turn leads into the kitchen and dining area.
The bedroom and lounge area overlooks the back garden and open fields. The welcoming bed, swathed in luxurious bedding, linens, cushions, and throws is king size, and is the perfect setting for long, lazy lie ins and breakfast in bed. Look up, and a skylight offers the perfect view for stargazing, whilst you'll also have splendid views of the garden and verdant fields through the windows and French doors. There's plenty of built-in storage so all luggage can be conveniently tucked away.
Directly in front of the bed lies a comfy two-seater sofa, plus a cosy Contura wood burning stove -perfect for cooler months and simply hypnotic to watch from the comfort of bed! In addition, there's a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite box sets (also visible from the bed) plus a Marshall Stockwell Bluetooth speaker, although this retreat is the perfect spot for a digital detox too! French doors lead directly out onto the decking area, creating a larger living space during warmer weather.
The L-shaped kitchen has everything you need to rustle up romantic feasts for the two of you, including an induction hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and the all-important coffee machine. There's plenty of workspace for prepping your locally sourced goodies, whilst a super-cute dining table and chairs lies between the kitchen and lounge area.
Bathing
The gorgeous shower room is perfectly equipped for pampering, with a shower that has a fixed head and handheld flexible shower wand, whilst gorgeous organic and locally produced 'LoveGrove' toiletries await along with fluffy bath and hand towels and underfloor heating. We just love the stunning sink too!
Outdoor space
Step through the French doors in the lounge area and you'll discover a pretty deck area with a two-seater table and chairs with garden parasol, as well as a Weber gas barbeque for alfresco dining. With the sun rising over this lovely space, it's the perfect spot for morning coffee too, listening to the glorious birdsong. In addition, two loungers await for lazy, hot afternoons when only a snooze under the beautiful big Ash tree will do. For the seekers of a restful retreat, unplug from the everyday and reset your soul with a yoga practice deep in the countryside - the decking area in the back garden is just perfect for serene yoga moments. Surrounded by open grazing farmland, this is a nature lovers dream, with plentiful birdlife as well as grazing cows and sheep - expect plenty of lambs in springtime!

Please note that Drovers Run is surrounded by working farms, so you'll see lots of farm life around you such as tractors bringing in their harvest or farmers moving their animals from field to field.

Drovers Run is situated in Dorset, but close to the border with Somerset, meaning there's plenty to see and do during your stay should you wish. Forde Abbey House and Gardens, whose lands surround this retreat, are a must, just a half an hour's walk away, or a five-minute drive. With many miles of idyllic country lanes to explore, this is a popular spot for runners and cyclists alike - so why not don your running shoes and pack your bikes for a dreamy dose of adventuring. Alternatively, pop in the car and seek out the numerous, picturesque market towns and country villages such as Axminster and Bridport where you'll discover famers markets (perfect for picking up local, tasty produce), country pubs and plentiful restaurants. Alternatively, head to the coast where the beautiful, regency seaside town of Lyme Regis awaits, and the impressive red cliffs of West Bay await to be discovered. The stunning Blackdown Hills, an AONB, are well worth exploring and a must for walkers.
