Whether you're after a base from which to explore, or seeking a quick city break, Abbeyholme Stables is the perfect getaway. From here it's an easy walk to amazing restaurants, characterful pubs and stunning parks in which to walk your pooch, should you have one. Pop in the car and it's an easy drive into the Cotswolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you're after a carless break, Cheltenham is easily accessible from London, Bristol, and Birmingham by train - making your stay extra carefree! On a final note, Abbeyholme Stables is the perfect base if you're looking to attend Gold Cup week at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Living and eating

Step through the front door and you'll immediately find yourself in the spectacular sitting room, leading to the dining area and finally the kitchen. With one end entirely covered in antique mirror and décor and furniture from Timothy Outlon, this is a stylish space that's the epitome of English quirkiness.

With chic, dark blue walls juxtaposed with exposed brick and glossy wooden floors boasting underfloor heating, this is a spacious room. In the living area you'll find a plush sofa and armchair, made for lounging on, a large, eye-catching wooden coffee table and a Smart TV for film nights and for catching up on your favourite box sets.

At the other end lies the kitchen and dining area. The stunning dark blue, bespoke cabinets are topped with lustrous copper work surfaces, whilst mirror splashbacks add a lightness to the area. But it's not all style over substance; this wonderful space is home to everything a passionate chef might need, including an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the other essentials, including a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine for that all-important caffeine kick.

Just in front lies the circular dining table with comfortable seating for four; we adore the overhead glass lampshade, turning any meal into a grand affair.

Two sets of full height, opalescent Crittal doors filter soft light into the whole room, whilst they also open up into the courtyard garden - perfect to leave open on warmer days.

Sleeping & Bathing

Take the stairs up and you'll discover two glamorous bedrooms.

One bedroom is en suite and is beautifully attired in shades of grey. Wooden panelling adds a Regency feel to the room, whilst the sumptuous king - sized bed with huge headboard offers a blissful escape at the end of the day. In addition, there's a wall-mounted Smart TV for night time films, bedside tables and an en suite shower room.

The second bedroom is a slightly larger room, with comfy king - sized bed, eye-catching turquoise bedside tables, wardrobe, and wall-mounted Smart TV.

This floor also has a luxurious family bathroom, complete with dreamy slipper bath with overhead shower, and dark blue wood panelled walls.

Both beds come swathed in Egyptian cotton linen, luxurious bedding and tactile cushions and throws to ensure a blissful nights' sleep, whilst both the en suite and family bathroom have heated rails to keep towels toasty warm.

Outdoor space

This smart townhouse boasts its own courtyard garden, complete with table and chairs plus a coal-fired Weber barbeque - perfect for summertime meals alfresco.

In the Area

Set in the beautiful Georgian spa town of Cheltenham, Abbeyholme Stables boasts a wonderful central location whilst benefitting from being slightly tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Just a short stroll will find you in the Suffolks and Montpellier, both charming districts full of excellent places to eat, boutique shops and stunning architecture. Stroll into the centre of town and you'll discover the Promenade, a tree-lined avenue complete with shops to explore and eateries to discover, plus 'The Wilson', the town's fascinating museum and art gallery. For a longer walk, head to Pittville Park and the iconic pump room (we dare you to taste the spa water!). Of course, this is also the perfect base if you love a spot of horse-racing; Cheltenham hosts some fantastic events, including the world-famous Gold Cup Week in March. For longer stays, pop in the car and the glorious Cotswolds are on your doorstep; discover gorgeous market towns such as Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, don boots and walk part of the Cotswold Way, seek out a traditional inn or two for Sunday lunch and a warm fire. Alternatively, the fascinating town of Roman Cirencester is well worth a visit, whilst the city of Gloucester with its stunning cathedral (made famous by Harry Potter) and historic docks are well worth a visit too.

This chic retreat is the epitome of cool; set in the heart of stylish Cheltenham in the Cotswolds, you'll discover a stylish, chilled out pad that's the perfect dog-friendly base from which to explore, just over two hours from London.
