Nestled in a pretty village, this dashingly handsome home is a welcome retreat away from the hustle of everyday life. Step through the front door and you'll find a retreat that's cool, calm and sophisticated yet incredibly welcoming too. With an open-plan kitchen and dining area leading out to a courtyard, entertaining is a breeze, whilst the sitting room offers a cosy bolt hole with its wood burner during chillier months. Families and friends will equally be delighted in this Cotswold pad, and it's dog friendly too. Near to the characterful market town of Stow-on-the-World and iconic Bourton-on-the-Water, Earby House is perfectly situated to explore the highlights of the Cotswolds, whether it's on a country walk, discovering a stately home, relishing a drink or two at an ancient inn or a enjoying a spot of retail therapy in the many independent shops to be found in its villages.

The large, welcoming sitting room is where you'll definitely want to relax at the end of the day. With a large wood burning stove, two cosy mint-coloured sofas from Loaf and two armchairs, there's plenty of space for everyone. For entertaining, there's a SONOS sound system and a Smart TV, whilst traditionalists will love the reconditioned vintage record player, records, games and books.

The beautiful open plan kitchen and dining room is a wonderful space for entertaining, with folding glass doors leading to a bijoux terrace to bring the outside in on balmy days.

The simple, Nordic-feel kitchen has wonderful white worktops whilst cupboards hold all the equipment you'll need to rustle up feasts for your loved ones including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and the all-important coffee machine.

We just love the dining table with four chairs, bench and overhanging lighting - it's the perfect spot whether you're enjoying a lazy brunch or Christmas dinner with the family, and the SONOS sound system will help create the perfect atmosphere for you.

In addition, there's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room as well as a sink and an area for coats and shoes.

There are four gorgeous bedrooms, each designed to ensure a blissful nights' sleep.

The house is most comfortable for up to six adults and two children, as there is one en suite shower room plus one family bathroom with rolltop bath and separate shower. There is a cloakroom with WC downstairs.

The en suite master bedroom is very pretty, with an eye-catching floral feature wall, king size Loaf bed, area for hanging clothes, chest of drawers and a Smart TV so you can catch up on your favourites in peace.

Bedroom two has a zip-and-link king size bed, meaning it can either be a 5' king size bed or made into two 2'6" twin beds, perfect for little ones. With a hanging rail for clothes, chest of drawers and a Smart TV, this pretty bedroom benefits from warm, calming tones throughout.

Bedroom three has a lovely wooden king size bed, romantic dark floral feature wall, hanging rail for clothes, bedside tables with drawers and a Smart TV.

Bedroom four has a double bed from Loaf, bedside tables with drawers and a hanging rail for clothes.

All the bedrooms benefit from shuttered windows, gorgeously luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, sumptuous bedding and beautiful cushions and throws. There's also a hairdryer in each room.

The en suite to the master bedroom is a luxurious shower room, whilst the family bathroom has a fabulous roll top bath for long soaks, plus a separate shower and double sink.

Downstairs, even your four-legged friend isn't left out - there's a dog shower too! Just perfect for washing off muddy paws.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Earby House:

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. I would highly recommend this property for your special break away.

This cottage is so comfortable and cosy, loved the big bathroom. With two little ones it was absolutely ideal, with stair gates and cots being available

Earby House is the perfect Cotswold escape in an idyllic location. The house is beautifully furnished and has ample room for relaxing and entertaining. Boutique retreats made the trip very special and arranged balloons and a gift for my birthday. We will definitely be rebooking!

Earby House is beautifully decorated and maintained, and it's a great layout for two families! We absolutely loved the location––for the local walks, the ease of nearby Daylesford and Stow, and the friendly vibe.

A wonderful cottage to stay in. Superb environment, and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We'll be back for sure.
