A stylish three storey Georgian townhouse, this uber-chic retreat is just a short stroll away from the heart of Frome. Complete with sash windows, striking art, wooden shutters, eclectic furnishings, high ceilings and stylish interiors, this retreat has been brought into the 21st Century with innovative aplomb. This homestay is chic and sophisticated; a perfect bolt hole from which to explore Somerset and Bath.
A sumptuous den awaits you in the living area - dark greys and crisp whites adorn the room, with deep sofas to sprawl out on during cosy evenings in. A 4K Smart TV with Blu-Ray player, on-demand videos and Apple TV means you can catch up on that must-see series whilst there are books to read if you fancy something quieter. The lovely wood burner means you'll always be toasty warm plus the entire ground floor also benefits form under-floor heating.
The open plan kitchen and dining room is the focal point of the house - a place for family and friends to gather and enjoy good food and plenty of conversation. The kitchen is sleekly white with plenty of space - an island provides extra work space for the budding chef or can be used as a breakfast bar, and boasts incredible lighting overhead. The kitchen comes with all the facilities you would expect including twin ovens, a wide induction hob for fabulous feasts, dishwasher and wine-cooler. The dining area with seating for eight and complete with Americana artwork, is just steps from the kitchen and opens onto an enclosed courtyard garden through floor to ceiling glass bi-fold doors - perfect for balmy night gatherings.
There are four fantastic bedrooms - two doubles, one twin and one room with bunk beds. The master bedroom is decadently beautiful with deep grey walls, a super-king size bed, fireplace with wood burner, white exposed floorboards and a huge sheepskin rug. Old-fashioned window shutters guarantee a good nights' sleep. The further double is sweetly simple in a lighter shade of grey and stripped white floorboards, whilst the twin room and bunk room offer perfect accommodation for little ones.
There is a sumptuous family bathroom, shower-room and separate cloakroom downstairs.
Pemberley has a great town house garden, beautifully designed and perfect for outside dining and socializing. Mainly paved, there's a BBQ - perfect for cooking up a storm (maybe cooking some locally-sourced meat from the butchers) plus there's outdoor seating and atmospheric lighting for when the sun sets.

The market town of Frome has a famous and very popular artisan market which is the showcase for a full range of unique local produce on the first weekend of each month, with the added temptation of designer, vintage and craft shops in cobbled St Catherines Hill - just remember to leave some space in your suitcase to take things home with you! While away an hour or so in a local coffee shop to plan your trips out to such places as The Roman city of Bath, Bruton to visit the stunning new Hauser & Wirth Gallery, or further afield to the cathedral city of Wells for a spot of culture. Enjoy the vibrant live music scene of Frome's Cheese and Grain, or Glastonbury. Or how about a day at The Cow Shed Spa at Babington House for a pampering session to beat all others! All this just a two and a half hour drive or train journey from London - it will have you remaining in the UK for a staycation, nipping out of the city on a Friday afternoon for a change of scenery on a well earned short break or stay longer in order to make the most of all that is on offer in this gorgeous area.
"Pemberley is a really beautiful house. The thought and effort that has gone into the styling and finish throughout the house are excellent. The bedrooms were lovely and the beds were super comfortable. We really appreciated the Welcome Hamper(s) too. Our weekend here was a real treat and we would definitely visit again." - December 2016
