Boutique Cottages in Shaldon

The village of Shaldon is scattered around the mouth of the Teign Estuary on the edge of the English Riviera, protected by the imposing red sandstone headland of the Ness. Featuring rows of fishermen’s cottages, thatched homes and period buildings descending in formation down greenery-clad hills and sitting shoulder-to-shoulder by the water, it is undoubtedly one of the most attractive villages in the county. Fans of the sea will love Shaldon beach and Ness Cove beach, accessed by an original smugglers tunnel, for swimming and watersports. Pop on to the oldest passenger ferry in England across to Teignmouth to try out kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing whilst you'll discover a host of places to eat here too without having to step in a car. Land lubbers should make for the South West Coastal Path and head towards Labrador Bay for amazing views - on a clear day you can spot Lyme Bay, whilst little ones will love Shaldon Wildlife Trust Zoo.
