Set within the 1,500-acre historic Cumbrian estate of Edenhall, in the heart of Eden Valley, discover a tranquil escape from the everyday for up to six guests - and it's dog friendly too! Lower occupancy rate

A special lower occupancy rate applies at Luna, outside of school holidays, peak weeks, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year.

Option one offers a 10% discount for parties of four guests or less. At this rate, the master bedroom and bedroom two will be available for you.

Option two offers a 20% discount for parties of two guests or less. At this rate, the master bedroom will be available for you.

Living

Enter the large, open plan living space to find luxury and comfort blissfully combined, where two sumptuous sofas reside overlooking the lovely garden and vast hills beyond. Settle in for cosy evenings together watching your favourite film on the Smart TV with Netflix, or seek a moment of quietude with your current page-turner in the snug reading nook beneath the stairs. You'll also find a football table for little ones and adults alike, along with a selection of books and board games for family nights in. A blend of rustic and contemporary features, pairing vaulted ceilings and exposed brick with eclectic furnishings, the living room promises a unique space to entertain and spend quality time with loved ones. French doors lead out on the garden, allowing you to welcome the outside in on balmy days, or gaze out over the ever-changing scenery during cooler months, cosied up within the haven of Luna.


Eating

The open plan kitchen and dining space at Luna is just made for gathering together in true Boutique style. Carefully curated with the character of the original barn in mind, every inch of this lovingly restored retreat promises rusticity and country living charm. From the characterful fireplace with wood burning stove and reclaimed wooden floor, to exposed beams and stunning highlights of red brick - it's no surprise that the kitchen is the heart of this heavenly homestay.

With soft shades of blue and eye-catching artwork throughout, the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need for whipping up culinary delights - including the all-important Nespresso machine for those fresh morning coffees. The lovely dining table for six is perfect for all things feasting, from pared-back brunches to evening banquets with your nearest and dearest.


Sleeping and bathing

There are three equally beautiful bedrooms to choose from at Luna, both set upstairs amongst the eaves of our enchanting retreat.

Uncover the exquisite master bedroom, promising a sumptuous hand carved king-sized bed, adorned with luxurious linens, cushions and throws. With an abundance of characterful touches, from the reclaimed gate headboard - handmade by the owner - and quaint window seat, to the rustic charm of an exposed brick feature wall and original beamed ceilings, only the dreamiest of slumbers await. Complete with a handsome wood burning stove, create a cosy setting with just the strike of a match, before slipping into a soothing bubble-topped soak in the darling roll top bathtub. Overlooking the rolling Cumbrian countryside, romantic moments reside in this dreamy spot, where otherworldly views are sure to soothe your soul.

You'll find an idyllic escape from it all in bedroom two, home to a vaulted ceiling with swoon-worthy beams, exposed brick features and breath-taking original windows. The charming double bed is dressed in lovely throws and linen, just perfect for cherishing those slow mornings and lingering lie ins. Step through the door leading out onto a private balcony space to savour spectacular, ever-changing views over Luna's garden and the undulating scenery beyond.

Bedroom three is a darling space to retreat after a day of exploring the local beauty spots, promising blissful comfort and luxurious living. A lovely king sized bed awaits for those sweet slumbers, set amidst romantic features, exposed beams and antique-style interior touches - this is a romantic room made for simply dreaming.

Downstairs, there's a fabulous shower room with walk-in shower for those wake-me-up moments. In addition, there's a downstairs toilet, tucked away beneath the staircase, with unique interior design features and the undeniable beauty of exposed brick throughout.


Outdoor space

Head outside to uncover the captivating garden space at Luna, a gorgeous setting in all seasons for savouring staycation moments in the great outdoors with loved ones. Whether you seek the magic of summer evenings spent dining alfresco, dreamy dusk dips in the wood-fired hot tub or twilight gathered around the flickering firepit - while away blissful getaway moments in the garden of dreams. Promising a lovely selection of seating areas and a barbecue for family cookouts, all accompanied by far-reaching views of the picturesque landscape, you'll never wish to leave the festoon-light adorned exterior space at Luna. Babies and children are most welcome at Luna, one cot and one highchair will be available on request.


Dogs

Two dogs are most welcome at Luna. Doggy beds and bowls for your four-legged friends are available on request. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

Situated within the charming town of Penrith, you'll be spoilt for choice with a selection of delicious eateries and cosy country pubs within this historic market town. The dreamy 1863 restaurant with beautifully chic interiors provides a relaxed fine dining experience curated around seasonal produce, while the Dog & Gun Inn is a lovely establishment to savour wonderfully presented Michelin star cuisine. For families and history lovers, uncover the dramatic ruins of Lowther Castle along with 130 acres of delightful gardens to explore. Those yearning to roam the great outdoors can unearth the Bronze Age stone circle Long Meg and Her Daughters in Penrith, or seek spectacular scenery at Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District. Just beyond Penrith lies the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a plethora of fantastic walking routes to discover.
