Lyme Regis is a very pretty town on the gorgeous Dorset coastline with its famous Cobb and harbour, made famous by John Fowles' the French Lieutenant's Woman. Surrounded by stunning coastline and countryside, the area has World Heritage Site thanks to its incredible Jurassic Coastline, where the fossil-peppered rocks reveal 185 million years of the Earth’s history. 

As you can imagine, there is plenty to keep you entertained here; whether it be clifftop walks, days on the beach scouting for fossils or exploring inland. Home to lots of great shops and hosting a large variety of events throughout the year (including a Fossil Festival, Lifeboat Week and a Carnival Week), there is always something going on to lure you out of your luxury cottage.

Of course you must take a walk on the Cobb and when your thoughts turn towards food, you can choose from one of the fab places to eat in the town, from the upmarket Hix Oyster & Fish House to the incredible little pop-up fish and chip vans which sell fresh fish straight off the boat (to be eaten whilst on the beach, naturellement!).
