Living

For the lovers of cosy cottage corners, uncover the adorable living space, beautifully adorned in neutral tones with flourishes of florals. From white-washed walls and characteristic beams to an exposed stone inglenook fireplace aglow with the flickering flames from the charming wood burning stove - this pretty hideout is a dreamlike space to unwind. A glass dining table with two wicker armchairs await for candlelit feasting, whilst a plump sofa and armchair beckon for homely evenings fireside. Under the bamboo OKA coffee table, you'll find classic board games for your amusement, along with a Robert's radio and Smart TV with Netflix. Sojourn also has a Sonos sound system throughout the cottage.

Eating

Romantically rustic with cream toned bespoke cabinets and handmade Marrakech tiling by Fired Earth, the snug kitchen with underfloor heating awaits for budding chefs. Whether you're morning musing over fresh coffee perched in the window seat or savouring homecooked brunches at the breakfast bar, this space is a heavenly space to dwell and dine. You'll find all you should need during your staycation, including a range with a ceramic hob, a dishwasher, a Nespresso coffee machine, a champagne fridge, a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, and a Nutri-bullet.

In the boot room, you'll also find a tumble dryer and an additional freezer.

Sleeping and bathing

Dressed in soft whites and pastel tones with charming cottage windows looking out towards the enchanting Dartmoor countryside, the darling master bedroom is home to a king-sized bed, two bedside tables, an antique distressed chest of drawers, a fitted wardrobe, and a pale pink chesterfield occasional chair. Additionally, there is the divine addition of a Smart TV for watching films whilst snuggled in cloud-like linens, whilst the charming en suite lies adjacent, where a shower with a rainfall head can be found, together with White Company toiletries and towels.

At Sojourn, you'll find the unique addition of a luxury spa room, complete with a stunning rolltop copper bathtub for bubble-topped self-care moments.

Both bathroom spaces also have heated rails for keeping towels warm and fluffy.

Spa room

For an extra heavenly experience, our recommended masseuse can provide a luxury Thai massage in the Spa Room using Neal's Yard essential oils to reset your life balance.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Sojourn:

Our stay was excellent and everything exceeded our expectations! From the location, the charm of the cottage and little finishing touches from the owners, we thoroughly enjoyed everything Sojourn had to offer! It truly felt like a home away from home.

Very clean and comfy cottage, the equipment was superb

It's the perfect romantic retreat for a complete escape!

Thank you Jane and Alistair - we had an unforgettable romantic weekend at Sojourn. The sun shined throughout our visit and we spent so much time in your beautiful gardens, especially the bower house, where we enjoyed our evening meals accompanied by the soothing sound of the water feature. Sojourn was such a heavenly setting to return to after exploring Dartmoor's autumnal landscapes, as every inch of the cottage was pure luxury. You have thought of everything to make this house a home - from lavender sleep spray and eye masks, to an incredible welcome hamper filled with local treats. Everything in this home was of a high standard, and the housekeeping was immaculate throughout. We can't wait to visit this special place again. We made so many memories to treasure.

I had the most incredible time at Sojourn! A perfect place to comfortably relax and unwind after venturing out into the surrounding Dartmoor wilderness! The outdoor space was lovely and having the impressive roll top bath was a welcome addition after a day of adventures :)

Sojourn is a superb property with lots of little luxuries to make your stay extra special. We especially loved the gorgeous garden and making pizza in the bower house.

This is the most idyllic spot for a romantic get away with every luxury provided to sit back and be spoiled. Thank you!!
