One of the New Forest’s most beloved and popular breweries is Ringwood Brewery. The good people here offer you the chance to see how their delicious craft ales are made in their light-hearted but educational tours of the site – and of course you will be getting to taste them too!
This fun brewery first started in 1978 by Peter Auston who was initially brewing Best Bitter and Fortyniner in a former bakery. Nowadays Ringwood Brewery is on a much bigger site and is producing around 40,000 barrels and is known for its delicious and distinctive craft ales such as Razorback, Boondoggle, Circadian IPA, Fortyniner and Old Thumpe.
Go behind the scenes and take a tour of the brewery to see how the magic happens. The tour experience is just under two hours but packed full of interesting and unique segments. Be guided by the friendly and knowledge staff through the brewery, have a complimentary drink in the Pin Room, sample the malted barley, breath in the unique aroma of the hops and watch the bubbling of the fermentation away in the Tun Room.
A tour wouldn’t be complete without taking home some of your favourite new beverages. The onsite shop sells a broad range of goodies from clothing to merchandise – and of course those all-important beers and ales! The shop also sells casks and provides jugs (4.5 pints), a piggin (18 pints), a polypin (36 pints), and firkins (72 pints) – which make a great idea for those special occasions or family gatherings when holidaying nearby.
