Eating

The kitchen and dining area is simply divine with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and windows in the ceiling to make this a bright, airy room ideal for entertaining. At the heart of the kitchen there's a Rangemaster Professional with two ovens and a gas hob set into it's own mantel. With dark blue and waxed oak bespoke handmade cupboards and white quartz worktops, there's plenty of room plus a large kitchen island with breakfast bar with bar stools. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to rustle up feasts, including a large double fronted Fisher Paykel fridge with water dispenser and drawer freezer underneath with ice making machine, dishwasher and all the other essentials including the all-important Nespresso coffee machine.

The large dining table adjacent to the kitchen easily seats eight, whilst glass doors lead out on to the terrace should you wish to eat outside, or simply let the reviving Cornish air waft through. A SONOS sound system ensures you have music to accompany you, whilst the flickering gas burning stove offers cosy heat.

In addition, there's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room.

Sleeping and bathing

There are four stunning bedrooms to choose from, three of which are en suite.

The master bedroom has a sumptuous super king bed and is a wonderfully spacious bedroom, with huge, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. With dual-aspect windows, this room benefits from plenty of light and it also has a wonderful leather sofa (perfect for cuddles), massive bespoke in-built wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage and a Smart TV. It also has a stunning en suite complete with freestanding bath, walk in shower and double basins - we just love the floor to ceiling glass windows with views over the rolling countryside.

There are three further bedrooms, two of them have zip-and-link beds meaning they can be made up as twin beds (perfect for children or friends) or a super king size bed. One has pretty dual aspect windows, grey head rests, built in bespoke wardrobe, chest of drawers and occasional chair. It also has an en suite shower room with double basins. The other has a dark headboard, bedside tables with drawers and a dressing table and built in wardrobe. It also has an en-suite shower room with double basins.

The final bedroom has a king size double bed and is super-pretty with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables.

In addition, there's a downstairs bathroom as well.

All of the beds come swathed in luxurious bedding, linens, cushions and throws to ensure a blissful nights' sleep, whilst the bath and shower rooms have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about The Granary:

The Granary exceeded our expectations, it was gorgeous, the welcome pack was more than generous and was lovely. Perfect setting for a relaxing week away. Emma our host was very informative and helpful. Would definitely recommend this beautiful location and home to my family and friends.

It was our second stay at this property and would book it again.

It was beautiful and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would love to go again.

This cottage is a fabulous base to explore the Roseland Peninsula. Excellent interiors, very clean and tidy, good facilities and lots of lovely space to enjoy.

The Granary is an exquisite property in an idyllic rural location that is perfect for exploring the Roseland Peninsula. It is beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. Our hostess had left us a very generous welcome package, full of delicious goodies, that was beyond our expectations and was also on hand to welcome us on arrival and if we had any queries during our stay but was respectful of our privacy. We would return in a heartbeat.

The fit out of the property was exceptional. Emma is a warm and accommodating owner and we would have no hesitation to rebook if we were to visit this location again.

A stunningly spacious and brilliantly designed property in a wonderful location.

We had a wonderful cosy and comfortable Christmas at the Granary. The house is delightful with gorgeous showers, fabulously comfy beds, and everything we needed for a memorable family Christmas. The tree and decorations were beautifully done and our host could not have been more helpful.

Absolutely perfect

Emma is a fantastic host, the welcome hamper was to an incredibly high standard, as was the presentation, cleanliness and design of the The Granary. This is a superb retreat which we would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

Incredibly peaceful location, and not overlooked, with one lovely neighbour to one side, and the wonderful hosts - who live next door - on the other. A fantastic getaway with easy access to an endless number of beautiful walks. We had a truly magical stay!

Such a treat to have Sky sports and to watch the start of the season cosy in the library while the rain lashed down outside!

Will return as perfect.

A fabulous property and the host, Emma, was very friendly and helpful, Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at the Granary.

The Granary is a stunning property, superbly comfortable and the attention to detail was exceptional. We received excellent care from the friendly, welcoming owners. We would have stayed longer had it not been booked and would like to return sometime.

The house has been renovated to an extremely high standard and we were one of the first sets of guests to have the chance to stay. The whole experience was absolutely faultless. The house is on a working farm and the owners live close by. They were really friendly and made sure we settled in and were always on hand if we needed any tips or advice in terms of the local area. We definitely hope to make a return visit
