Tucked away in the countryside, you have a myriad of choices for memorable outings, whether you prefer hazy coastal scenes or are looking to uncover the rugged wilds of Dartmoor.
Living and eating
Carefully curated for cosy evenings and days spent disappearing into a book, the elegant living room at our characterful cottage awaits for evenings spent hunkering down and enjoying fireside moments. Two beautiful sofas and a soft-touch ottoman takes centre stage across from the stone fireplace and warming wood burner, which occasional chairs ensure there's a spot for all. The window seat makes for a perfect reading nook, whilst double doors open out onto the bucolic terrace, providing an easy flow between the oh-so-wholesome living room and the beckoning oasis of the garden. A Smart TV sits in the corner, while an adorable antique writing desk offers a place to jot down your travel reveries.
Through the double archway, the open-plan kitchen and dining area promise decadent meals with loved ones, while an exquisite wooden table set amongst stunning rustic furniture and décor is perfect for lazy brunches admiring countryside vistas. Double doors lead straight onto the terrace where an outdoor table lends itself perfectly for evenings of laid-back frivolity and food as the sun sets beneath the surrounding trees.
The delicately styled kitchen boasting grey-blue cabinets, has everything you should need during your getaway, including a Smeg Range cooker with induction hob, fridge freezer with ice machine, microwave, dishwasher and the all-important coffee machine for your favourite morning blend.
Sleeping and bathing
There are four beautiful bedrooms to choose from at Weekemoor, all with super-king-sized zip-and-link beds for flexible sleeping arrangements.
Situated on the ground floor with serene garden views and access to the peaceful terrace beyond, the first bedroom is simply a dream. With rustic bedside tables, patchwork prints, and pretty paintings of rural scenery, this is a wonderful setting to unwind.
A sleek family bathroom with a bathtub and an overhead shower resides on the ground floor, along with a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.
The second bedroom, also located on the ground floor continues the wistfully elegant hues enjoyed throughout Weekemoor. A charming alcove nestles into the wall above the bed, with a reading light ready for curling up with your latest page turner, whilst a matching side table and chest of drawers, each painted in a beautiful sea foam shade, provide ample storage for your belongings.
Upstairs, the third bedroom in gorgeous grey tones with rustic additions ensures endless country charm. You'll find two bedside tables, a cushioned bench, a chest of drawers, and an occasional chair.
The beautiful en suite bathroom boasts a fabulous built-in bath with an overhead shower and a heated rail, all surrounded with gorgeous marble panelling.
With reaching views that drift over treetops and rolling hills, bedroom four is a masterclass in peace and tranquillity. Relaxed textures and tones weave their way through the room, creating a lovely space to rest after a day exploring the dappled Devonshire countryside. At either side of the bed, two wooden trays promise breakfasts in bed and delightfully slow mornings. You will also find an occasional chair.
In the en suite bathroom you'll find a wonderfully spacious overhead shower with a patterned ceramic sink, adding a touch of charm to the space.
Outside space
Step outside to uncover the spacious garden which wraps around the cottage, offering a plethora of backdrops for alfresco lounging. An enchanting pond offers an unspoiled setting alongside the patio where quiet evenings around the fire pit unfold. Benches adorned with cosy blankets and scatter cushions gather around the flickering fire, while the gentle glow of the lantern adds its own blush of light to the scene. For those seeking ethereal nights beneath the cosmos, Weekemoor's rural setting is a perfect spot for indulging in a dreamy dose of stargazing.
A dreamy terrace lined with herbaceous borders and a sun-drenched pergola promises balmy breakfasts and alfresco feasts amidst rustling leaves and the smoky aromas of the barbeque, while two sun loungers wait for afternoons counting clouds and dozing to the sounds of nature. Hanging from the branches of the ancient oak tree you'll find a pretty swing seat for moments of pure delight. A pretty walk down to the gently flowing river will reward you with a pebbly beach, picture-perfect seating and the opportunity to fish - Weekemoor really is the epitome of pastoral bliss.
Parking
A private drive and car park provides plenty of space for multiple cars, alongside a charging point for electric vehicles.
Babies and children
Babies and children are welcome at Weekemoor, with a highchair and travel cot available upon request.
Dogs
One dog is welcome at Weekemoor with dog towels and bowls provided as well as an outdoor tap with a shower attachment. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

For those who prefer a more laid-back day out, Devon's south coast promises balmy days spent ambling along on the beach or touring the historic seaside towns. Burgh Island is one of Devon's most famous coastal destinations, made famous by two of Agatha Christie's much-loved novels. The fabulous art-deco hotel provides a decadent setting for some award-winning food or a world-class cocktail, while the island itself boasts a fascinating history.
The nearby town of Ashburton is an antique-lover's dream, with many eclectic shops housing rare and fascinating treasures, alongside welcoming delis where you can taste your way through local delights. Continue your retail therapy with a visit to the Totnes Market on Fridays, where an assortment of antiques, homewares, and delicious local food and drink combine for a truly unmissable shopping trip.
When it comes to exploring the culinary delights of the area, South Devon well and truly delivers. The restaurant Emilia in Ashburton ignites memories of Italian suppers under the stars, with fresh, local produce adding a Devonshire twist to the menu, while The Seahorse in Dartmoor prepares a mouth-watering selection of dishes from the land and sea, all within an exquisitely intimate setting. Within Loddiswell itself, the beautiful bar and coffee shop at Heron Valley is a sublime spot for a glass of perfect Devon Cider, juice or light lunch nestled in the midst of the rambling orchards.
