The ultimate seaside townhouse, this beautiful retreat has been lovingly restored to its former glory, offering a stunning period home experience twinned with all the modern luxuries to make your stay oh-so-perfect. Spacious, elegant rooms come together to form a dwelling perfect for larger families or groups of friends, and its luxuriousness makes it the ultimate pad for extra-special occasions.
Ideally located in the heart of Lyme Regis in Dorset, it's perfectly set for exploring the beauty of the Jurassic Coastline and the wonderful, unspoilt countryside. The town itself is filled with great places to eat, as well as a lovely beach - bliss!
Living
The cosy sitting room is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day after a busy day exploring. With a window overlooking the pretty front garden, large leather sofas invite you to be lazy whilst the wood burner is just what you need to create a cosy ambience. For film nights and catching up on box sets, there's a large Smart television, along with a Bluetooth speaker.
Eating
The gorgeous kitchen and dining area must be the heart of this amazing home. The kitchen is perfectly set up for larger gatherings with a large Falcon range cooker with gad hob and electric oven, two Smeg fridge freezers, dishwasher and the all-important bean-to-cup coffee machine. There's a breakfast bar too for on the hoof snacks and meals.
The dining area, complete with a wood burning stove and a gorgeous table that easily seats ten, is a wonderful spot for dinner parties and celebratory meals.
In addition, there's a utility room which is home to a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Sleeping
There are five stunning bedrooms to choose from.
The top floor master bedroom with en suite is a gorgeously vaulted, beamed room with two windows. The large super king bed is super-sumptuous and there's a sitting area with two chairs and a television. The en suite has a bathtub for two, separate shower and heated towel rail.
The second master bedroom on the middle floor boasts a stylish super king bed, pretty window seat, television and en suite with a bath and shower over it.
In addition, there's a darling wooden-framed double bedroom with original feature fireplace, along with two twin bedrooms - just perfect for little ones.
Bathing
In addition to the en suites, there's a gorgeous family bathroom that boasts a stunning free-standing iron bath for two, large walk in shower with rain forest shower head.
Both en suites and family bathroom have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy whilst downstairs there's a large wet room with shower and loo.
Outdoor space
To the front of the property lies a sun-soaked garden with a lavender-lined garden path and pretty planting. There's a small wrought-iron seat perfect for morning coffees or the ideal spot for a cup of tea and a book. To the back of the property - which is where you'll also arrive - is a courtyard garden with table and chairs for alfresco dining during warmer months.
Parking
There is private parking for up to two cars.
Babies and children
A travel cot, highchair, stair gates, kids' plates and cutlery and potty are provided on request.
From 2024, Lym House will no longer offer baby equipment and you will be required to bring your own.
Dogs
This is one of our pet-free properties.
WiFi
Lym House has WiFi so if you need to stay in touch with the outside world you can.
In the Area
As Lym House is in the heart of Lyme Regis, there's plenty to see and do right on your doorstep. The beaches are just a short stroll away, perfect for sunbathing, water sports or even a spot of fossil hunting. Make sure to visit the Cobb and harbour, the iconic spot made famous by The French Lieutenant's Woman. There are great places to eat too, such as Mark Hix's Oyster and Fish House which is just a few minutes' walk away.
The Jurassic Coast is just beautiful and has World Heritage Site status, so well worth exploring, as well as the super-cute villages that line the coast such as Seatown and Abbotsbury. River Cottage HQ is a ten minutes' drive away, so why not treat yourself to a cookery course? Or if you prefer the eating bit, book a table for some fantastic food.
